It was only a matter of time the militants targeted the stronghold of power. Now, that Punjab is under attack it will be interesting to see how the Prime Minister reacts to this cowardly attack. He clearly gives “Zero F**ks” about other provinces.

If Army is beyond serious about eliminating terrorism, they simply should not let any muk mukka take place between PMLN and terrorists outfits. Col. Shuja - along with Ch. Nisar - was the bridge between Military and Punjab Government, he was sincerely working on NAP at a very local level. If Punjab Government does not pick up where he left and keeps his legacy alive, the chances are Corps Commanders Punjab might become active and start playing a visibly leading role in implementing NAP in Punjab like they are doing in Karachi and Balochistan, and that’ll allow Zarb e Azb to come a full circle there. The next Apex Committee in Punjab should be very interesting. The COAS should definitely call one soon.
