Re: Bomb blast kills 20 SSG Officers (merged)
*Wrong argument. The talibs were busy in Afghanistan. They always would have come back after Pakistan once they were completely successful there.
*
You can't make up what could've happened. Busy in Afghanistan or not, where was the militancy 1995-2001? It was not there. Point proven.
**
If it had not been for this issue, it would be for any other issue for which they would have turned their guns against their former supporters.
**
Unlike the scared and shameless Pakistani governments that have always played to America's bidding (historical fact), what you are saying is nothing but pure conjecture. Pakistan turned its guns first and that is recorded in history.
**
You simply fail to understand the long term goals and agenda of the jihadi movement. If they are only fighting the army because of Mush's u-turn, why are they blowing up shops, statues for? Did these shops and statues side with America? Wake up and see the jihadi fitna for what it is. They will not be happy until they gain control over all muslims. Read their own words, they want to overthrow what they consider unislamic governments, i.e. all muslim governments. That is their primary goal, everything else has been in support of this goal, directly or indirectly.**
This is a result of A-Q driven polorization. The 'jihadi' movements were actually more prominent in the West, particularly places like Londonistan. In Pakistan, jihadis were used as cannon fodder to achieve the aims of the Pakistani governments (both military and democratic) in places like Afghanistan and Kashmir. They did more to secure Pakistani objectives than the so-called armchair political analysts here. Think Hizbullah to Iran.
Blowback is brutal, but expected when you turn your backs against the forces that you once guided, but to deny that Pakistan did anything less than use them for nationalist purposes, is incorrect.
