Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
Benaras is one of the holiest cities for Hindus where the Kashi Vishwanath temple is located. It is like a bomb in Mecca or Medina.
Nation will be on alert.
Right now 12 are killed. Death toll will rise dramatically.

Blasts rock Banaras (Varanasi)
The first explosion took place outside the temple just after 6 pm (IST) when a large number of devotees were present at the peak evening aarti time.
Minutes later, another blast took place outside the room of the stationmaster of the cantonment railway station.
"There's been a blast in front of the stationmaster's room. We have no reports of any casualties yet. Injuries have taken place, but we are not sure of the figures," said Sanjay Goyal, PRO, Northern Railways.

The Sankat Mochan is situated on the Durgakund road and is among the country's most ancient temples.
Appeal for calm

Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW’S HINDU TEMPLE
Maybe MQM did it. ![]()
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW’S HINDU TEMPLE
whenever there used to be some act of terrorism Mqm was to be blamed by the authorities since there now a part of government they are not blamed.
India has a different history they blame Pakistan we blame india too but normally indians are quick to blame it on pakistan. But it is sad that innocent people lost there lives and whoever kiled them cant be right in islam it is who ever kills an innocent human it is just like he has killed the whole humanity so he cant be from muslim faith.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
Very Sad. Hopefully there won't be any riots.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW’S HINDU TEMPLE
India is too soft on terror. It is a safe target for terrorists.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
nicols_john, what's that supposed to mean?
Indeed a very sad incident. Hope the perpetrators get punished accordingly.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
What nicols_john means is that, fighting terrorism in India is not as easy a task as it is in Pakistan, or USA for that matter. There are too many groups that have too many divergent views. The Indian democracy make fighting and putting down unrest very difficult.
India is extremely soft on terrorism. It needs to start doing what the US does and what Pakistan does.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW’S HINDU TEMPLE
or look at Israel. Just today Israel has announced that Hamas leadership could be killed any time.
This is a second major blast in less than six months. Last blast was in Delhi on Diwali day where 66 people were killed.
It all also concides with Anti-Bush protests and Cartoon Controversy.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
It is a wellknown fact that if some body want to create anarchy in India it is Pakistan or Kashmir based terror orgs like Lashkar,Jaish or Hisbul mujahideen. Not even a single Indian muslim want problems in his own house.Oh you self proclaimed protectors of islam please get out of my country.pls stop brain washing uneducated muslim youth. We will always be gratefull to our Indian brothers for not falling to these murderer's prpoganda.I pity these murderers (LET,Jaish,Hizb). These murderers are an insult to Islam,an insult to humanity.Leave my country and my religion alone please
An helpless Indian Muslim.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW’S HINDU TEMPLE
I agree completely. No Indian muslim would do such an act.
This incident had the potential to trigger riots, in which innocent muslims would have died. Over time, such riots have the potential to create disenchanted muslim youth, who would be easy cannon fodder for the jihadis and the ISI in their proxy war against India. This shows the cynicism of the jihadis and the Pakistan ISI-Army-Political elite, for although they profess solidarity with Indian muslims, in reality they are completely willing to sacrifice the latter for their political ambitions.
I am glad that common sense prevailed in India this time, and I will pray that inter-communal relations in India continue to improve.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
Do I see Pakistan, ISI, muslim terrorist blah blah blah? Have they found any "made in pakistan" chaclaates (Its chocolates for normal people) in terrorist pockets... NO.... Then there is something terribly wrong.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
Fighting terrorism is not an easy task for anybody. Even Israel still had to deal with many terror attacks.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW’S HINDU TEMPLE
allah knows who are trouble makers meanwhile communal harmony should be maintained .
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
Most of Prince comments have been deleted.. good riddence.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
One of the reasons this is such a good forum....
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
There are some militants/terrorists who want Hindu-Muslim violence in India. They have attacked the Akshardham temple in Gujarat, Diwali bomb in Delhi, now Kashi temple in Benaras. Many of these are outsiders, but they make the lives of Indian Muslims miserable.
This may seem harsh, but there are some who consider true themselves as true believers in Islam, they hold all other religions in contempt. The view of Judaism is psychopathic. Christians do not fare much better. The contempt for Hindus and Buddhists, religions deemed not to have “a book”, completes the utter certitude of Muslims that they alone are truly religious.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
No. made in Pakistan chocolates have not been found, but Pakistani diplomats have been caught with counterfeit Indian currency and that too in a third country.
Who knows who committed this bombing. However, if history is an indicator.....
Then of course there are the Pakistani personalities like Hameed Gul who can't stop basking in their own glory. He is willing to tell anyone who listens what the ISI did when he lead them.
No it is not easy for anyone, but India is an especially soft target. Even with two decades of deadly attacks on civilians and Parlaiment House, Indians are still unwilling to put laws on the books that make it easier to track and hunt terrorists, to destroy their networks, to do more domestic spying, and make it easier to detain someone.
The last time a reasonable law was passed by the BJP, it was quickly overturned by the new government. The funny thing is that when the law passed, Pakistani papers were all ablaze with the new Indian draconian law...which was nothing compared to the "disappearance" of suspects in Pakistan and the extent to which Pakistan goes to hunt down those whom it bred.
The problem with the Indian public, unlike Pakistanis, is that they are unwilling to trust anyone who takes away any of their rights. Reality is not what is seen in Bollywood movies. Arrests are slow, prosecutions are cumbersome, freezing assets takes a long time, defendants are given way more latitude than anywhere, confessions in interrogation are not allowed in court. The outcome of this is people like Narendra Modi take a long time in being prosecuted and there is lots of media hype around that, but terrorists also have little to fear.
The unrest that exists in the various Indian states is easy to end, if India took half the efforts that the US or Israel or Pakistan take.
mo, something is terribly wrong. The Indian public is willing to put up with some terrorism, but that is coming to an end. Perhaps India needs to do what Mossad, CIA, and KGB do. Instead of asking for the extradition of known terrorists, they should be killed where ever they are. Suspect hiding in Karachi trowing lavish weddings, all the while the Pakistani gov't says they are somewhere else, would have more to fear.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
I agree nameinuse, India should take a leaf out of Mossad's book. How difficult would be for India to target Dowd Ibrahim even if he is hiding in Karachi and making bomb blasts hapen in India? If Mossad can do it (they boast that if they want to get you your safe nowehere in the world). Jihadis cause these murders safe in knowledge India's soft stance on terrorsim would protect them to commit mass murder with impunity.
Re: BOMB BLAST IN LUCKNOW'S HINDU TEMPLE
Expat, I am not sure its that easy, or they would have solved Palestine problem long back.....
