The PML-N government was not always like this. It had contested the SSP/LeJ network during the 1990s, but with little support from the establishment. For instance, when Nawaz Sharif and his brother screamed their heads off about sectarian violence in Pakistan and Punjab, they were contradicted by the Foreign Office. The Sharif government of the 1990s also targeted the LeJ resulting in a botched terrorist attack on the then prime minister, Nawaz Sharif. The LeJ terrorist leader Riaz Basra also threatened them. This was a point when a combined intelligence and police operation could have helped but it didn’t happen. Moreover, the government was dismissed in 1999. There is certainly a possibility that the Sharifs got scared. More importantly, there was also the issue of being caught between the devil and the deep blue sea after they returned to Pakistan and power in 2008.

I wonder why no one asks the establishment what exactly it is up to in Balochistan as the province is still bleeding while they are literally presence in every nook and cranny of Balochistan.
But nothing justifies this blast in Lahore. I have never seen ordinary Punjabis as vocal for the rights of Balochis as now. If they kill poeple on the stree of Lahore, they may lose their greatest support.
On a side note, could it be a conspiracy to pitch ordinary Punjabis against Balochis?

Its about time some one knocked some sense into the establishment. Civilians should take control of internal security as well as foreign policies. Establishment has always created problems for us.
As far as attacking innocent people is concerned, thats the biggest mistake that terrorist organizations undertake. They lose support as a consequence, in recent times we have seen what happened to the Kashmir 'jehad'. They lost support when they started killing 'informers' (in other words Kashmiris).

no one bothers to think about what causes the problem. everyone is mourning over effect. what made balochis rebels, army operation or deprivation of balochis from their rights?
who deprived them from their rights, haramkhor politicians or army?
remove army from balochistan and balochistan will be no different because what haramkhor politicians have done to people of balochistan cannot be compensated easily.
