BOL directed by talented Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor is creating a lot of buzz off late with more and more people catching early screenings of the movie and recommending it to others in India !
One such actor who saw the movie and absolutely loved it was veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. News is that the actor, who has worked with Shoaib in his previously acclaimed KHUDA KE LIYE was offered the pivotal role of the father ‘Hakim Sahib’ done by Pakistani actor Manzar Sehbai in the movie, but could not do it as he had already signed another movie at the same time.
The actor went on to say, “I have had the good fortune to work in Shoaib Mansoor’s KHUDA KAY LIYE and I consider it to be the most significant film that I’ve done in my life.” http://www.oyedramay.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/naseeruddin_shah_20070813-222x300.jpg
The actor, after watching the movie was heard praising the director’s honest and impeccable work along with the superlative performances by all the actors. He said, “BOL is absolutely the kind of film that KHUDA KAY LIYE should be followed up by. It deals with an even more important statement like faith and empowerment of women. I have seldom seen a statement made with as much power and feeling as this film. This is yet another film to be proud of. I can only find myself wishing I was a part of this film.”
Not only this, the actor loved the movie to such an extent that he is showing the film to his friends and family in a couple days!
All we can say is that we wish we could have got a chance to see this stalwart of Indian cinema showcase his magic on screen in this hard hitting drama which is slated for a 31st August release.
It releases in the UK 31st August, after reading Stalker's review I don't think I want to depress myself for three hours in the cinema, gonna watch it online or when it's aired on TV
Despite all the reservations which certain individuals have about the film. I request everyone in the UK to go and watch "Bol" on the big screen in the next few days. Bol has got a excellent review by Taran Adarsh on Bollywoodhunghama.com. 4/5 which is only given very rarely.
Does anybody know if the worldwide release includes Bangladesh ?
And was KKL ever released there ?
I wish these movies are released there also as I am sure they would be appreciated there.
Also because of the special emotional link between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
