I will start of with some of my recent bokeh shots.
Okay I tried it in all different settings of my camera but it just doesn't work. If I have two people standing next to each other and I want to blur one of them out, how do I do that? This is so confusing. The aperture doesn't go lower than 3.5. Do I need to get a 50 mm f/1.8D Lens?

Yes lower the f-stop , easier it is to blur the background.
What you can do is:
Bokeh describes the appearance, or “feel,” of out-of-focus areas. Bokeh is not how far something is out-of-focus,** bokeh is the character of whatever blur is there**.
