Set an example for others. Strive to improve yourself so that you can learn about yourself, the world, and Islam. Give in to the fear of no one but Allah.

I also don’t think that these attacks help the cause of the attackers, so why do it if you help no one? However, I will add that I understand that people who are in dire situations often act because they have no other choices left. If that is the case, then may Allah guide and protect them. Those of us who are not in such situations should take action to help those who suffer by being active and speaking out legally.

I agree suroor. Matsui's (and other guppies') criticism of mullahs that beat up the kids was just out of line.
