Re: Blood Donation

Re: Blood Donation

Lucky you

Re: Blood Donation

wow mashaALLAH…

Re: Blood Donation

Thanks. Might as well donate while I can.

Re: Blood Donation

ALLAH aapko tofeeq de, amen… Keep it up bro :k:

Re: Blood Donation

InshaAllah you’ll always be able to

Re: Blood Donation

I have donated twice.

On my third attempt they didn’t take my blood because I had recently come back from Pakistan. And over here they demand a cooling-off period of 6 months after you return from an area where “Malaria is prevalent”.

Re: Blood Donation

And I am also registered as a “stem cell donor”.

Re: Blood Donation

What’s that?

Re: Blood Donation

Re: Blood Donation

Interesting. JazakAllahKhair for the information.

Re: Blood Donation

That’s some scary stuff. Something to think about though.

Re: Blood Donation

yes and yes. Our company has blood donation days on site so its easy. I do have hard time looking at the blood honestly so i try not to do it at company with fear of people seeing big tall guy chickening out at the sight of blood

Re: Blood Donation

Only the bone marrow method is scary, when they contact you for donation you can discuss with your doctor that you don’t want that method.

I wish I could do it too.

Re: Blood Donation

Me too… quite scared of seeing blood. Have had some accidents since childhood until later in which lost alot of blood but without seeing it myself (luckily for me) as was unconcious during all those accidents. Other people who saw told me.

I try all I can to avoid looking at blood and anything to do with medical industry. Maybe if there starts a trend donating blood without the use of needles and medical equipments and the venues were changed to appear too glamorous and happy then maybe I could.

Re: Blood Donation

The other method isn’t that great either. “It takes about 2 to 4 hours and is done as an outpatient procedure. Often the process needs to be repeated daily for a few days, until enough stem cells have been collected.”

Donating blood is a lot simpler.
