Two thoughts:
- Junaid Jamshed has been spouting misogynistic nonsense against women in general for a long time. He only gets in trouble when he includes a specific woman in his misogyny.

i dunno about the details of the case but as far as i understand, apology is not a legally accepted defense. it rather amounts to accepting guilt.
besides, it is possible that she did not want to apologize because she thinks and believes that she did not say/do anything derogatory to our Prophet [saws].

There are people on tv calling for his killing (they have declared him wajib ul qatal). These people should be arrested and charged with incitement, but more than that. If you support religious intolerance don't complain when you become victim of same bigotry. These laws should be scarped and mullahs inciting people should be jailed. Thats is the only way to bring sanity to the country.

I remember this jahil sarwat qadri from naseem zehra’s program policy matters.
In defending mumtaz qadri, this jahil quoted some incident from islamic history where some “ghazi” killed a man for disrespecting ‘kaddu shareef’ because the Holy Prophet (saw) really liked kaddu. And I’m not kidding. Check this out (starts at 1:35):
Better not be disrespectin’ any kaddu’s in the islamic republic of pakistan then. The momins there are very edgy when it comes to religious sensibilities.

I have seen Junaid's video and I would say it is carelessly worded not blasphemous. Junaid in his apology video should have quoted the source based on which he said what he said. Basically, it is all about brelvis vs deobandis age-old tussle who hate each other to the core.
Also hadith of the holy prophet (pbuh) came to my mind that said (not exact word-by-word translation) " ......fitnas will emerge from them and boomerang back to them" and this is just one example of it.

Exactly, and are the media completely clueless or purposely ignoring this fact to make all religious people look foolish? This is just the same old brelvi nonsense that’s been going on since the time of Ml Ashraf ali Thanvi, ra.
