The only good thing about this is the unanimous condemnation of the incident. The judiciary should now make an example out of the culprits to avoid similar incidents in the future.

Like always this seems to be a case of false allegation. The couple wanted to leave the kiln where they used to work. The owner kept them in confinement for three days (bonded labour?). The driver of the kiln owner spread the rumour that the woman was sweeping the floor of house and the rubbish included a paper having versus of the Quran. It makes the decision very simple, investigate the owner and his driver as well as the local imams. Punish them if found guilty. Blasphemy allegations have become a very handy excuse to summarily settle your scores.

[RIGHT]کچھ عرصہ پہلے چند خدا ترس لوگوں نے خدمت خلق کی خاطر مل کر ایک چھوٹا سا سکول شروع کیا جہاں غریب بچوں کو مفت تعلیم ملتی تھی۔ اس پراجیکٹ کو سپورٹ کرنے کیلئے کچھ مخیر حضرات نے چندہ وغیرہ دینا شروع کردیا جس سے سکول چل پڑا۔
چونکہ سکول کمرشل نہیں تھا اس لئے ایڈمنسٹریشن کیلئے بہت بڑی ٹیم موجود نہیں تھی جس کی وجہ سے اکثر اوقات بدانتظامی بھی ہوجاتی تھی۔ ایک دفعہ صفائی کے دوران بہت سے پرانے کاغذات اکٹھے ہوگئے جن میں کچھ تو ردی تھی اور کچھ پر قرآنی آیات لکھی ہوئی تھیں۔ انتظامیہ کے بندے نے صفائی پر مامور شخص کو وہ کاغز دو علیحدہ علیحدہ تھیلوں میں دیئے اور کہا کہ ردی کو جلا دو جبکہ قرآنی آیات والے تھیلے کو ادب سے چلتی نہر میں بہا دو۔
وہ شخص تھیلے لے کر چل پڑا لیکن کنفیوژن کی وجہ سے اس نے ردی کو نہر میں بہادیا اور قرآنی آیات والے کاغزوں کو آگ لگادی۔ اسی وقت وہاں سے ایک مسجد کے مولوی صاحب کا گزر ہوا، انہوں نے اس شخص کو آگ لگاتے دیکھ لیا اور فوراً اپنا موبائل نکال کر مووی بنالی۔
اگلے دن وہ مولوی صاحب سکول پینچ گئے اور سکول کے مالک کو خاموشی سے موبائل پر ریکارڈ کی ہوئی مووی دکھائی اور کہا کہ تم لوگوں نے یہ بہت بڑا ظلم کیا ھے جس کی سزا مل کر رھے گی۔
سکول کے مالک نے بہت سمجھایا، ہاتھ پاؤں جوڑے کہ یہ صرف ایک غلطی تھی اور کچھ نہیں۔ لیکن مولوی صاحب ڈٹے رھے۔ بہت ترلے منتوں کے بعد مولوی صاحب نے فرمایا کہ اگر سکول کا مالک جمعرات کی نیاز کیلئے مدد کردے تو وہ یہ واقعہ بھلا سکتے ہیں۔ سکول کے مالک کو حالات کی نزاکت کا احساس ہوچکا تھا، بات 5 لاکھ پر ختم ہوئی اور خدا خدا کرکے وہ مولوی صاحب وہاں سے ٹلے۔
لیکن اس خدا کے بندے نے وہ ویڈیو اپنے ایک ساتھی مولوی کو فارورڈ کردی۔ اب اگلے ہفتے ایک اور مولوی سکول آن پہنچا اور وہی ویڈیو دکھائی۔ وہ 2 لاکھ روپے کی نیاز پر قرآنی آیات کی توہین کو بھلانے پر تیار ہوگیا۔
وہ دن ھے اور آج کا دن، ہر دوسرے تیسرے ہفتے کوئی نہ کوئی مولوی صاحب توہین قرآن کا مقدمہ لے کر سکول میں آ جاتے ہیں اور بالآخر نزر نیاز کے پیسے لے کر ہی وہاں سے جاتے ہیں۔
اب تک اس مد میں تقریباً 26 لاکھ روپیہ خرچ ہوچکا ھے اور یہ سلسلہ رکنے کا نام نہیں لے رھا۔ سکول والوں کو احساس ھے کہ جونہی انہوں نے انکار کیا، لوگوں کا ایک ہجوم آئے گا اور انہیں جلا کر مار دیا جائے گا۔
یہ ھے ہمارے معاشرے میں مولویوں کا کردار۔ توہین رسالت اور توہین قرآن جیسے حساس معاملات اگر ان جیسے مولویوں کے ہاتھ میں رھے تو وہ اسے ایک ہتھیار کی طرح استعمال کرکے لوگوں کو ناجائز بلیک میل کرتے رہیں گے اور اپنی توندیں بھرتے رہیں گے۔ بقلم خود باباکوڈا (5نومبر 18:24)[/RIGHT]

i think the biggest culprit in this case is the FREE and irresponsible use of loudspeakers. i head that the maulvii of the local masjid got on the megaphone and asked people to gather at certain place and take care of the accused.
in our countries, loudspeakers from the pulpit are often used to incite and encourage violence. this MUST stop for the sake of sanity.

You may not like what i am going to say, but God is supposed to protest us, we are not supposed to protect god. If god needs our protection then we are a party with god.
Puny humans cannot respect or disrespect god. God is a fatherly figure, he forgives mistakes made by his sons and daughters. If god is not punishing me then who gives right to humans to punish me. ike Blasphamy laws are illegal laws made by humans and they should not amount to death. If you really believe in god then let god punish me. You roast your brothrs and sisters because you think god will not like what i did then it makes you agent of god which you obviously are not.
Some people cry that certain countries dont allow muslim ladies to wear burquas, but in your own righteous country you actually kill people for not following your belief. I mean come on, lets be humans first. Lets lead by example.
Well said, its all in the mindset. Human first, muslim second. Mankind first, religion second. Religion must be purely spiritual.

So apparently the man's father who died few months back was involved in taweez dhagay (salaam and aafreen to people who went to a christian taweez dhaagay wala baba..thats not blasphemy?!! ) and when they were discarding the deceased man's belongings, they founds cuttings off quran that the baba had been using for taweez. A co worker saw them and made an issue. The couple got into dispute with the factory owner and demanded his refund of money they pay while signing the job..the owner didnt want to pay and instead exploited the taweez thing and got an announcement done in 5 nearby villages and gathered about 1800 people to rip the roof of the room where this couple was hiding :( zulm ki inteha seriously.

^ Remember the Sialkot brothers case how brutally they were murdered in the front of the crowd and in presence of police.... This sort of mentality has been happening for years without our knowledge but only recently with the help of media it has started to come to surface giving us the awareness. This act of barbarism needs to be stopped...

Biggest culprits are the people, unable to use their brain to actually think about what they are about to do, and for what.
The law isnt the biggest problem, the mindset that religion is holier than human life, is.
i don't think so...when a call is made from the pulpit and people full of emotions gather at the scene, mob mentality takes over which is encouraged bythe hooligans and voila, you have the worst crime of passions committed at your hand.
the same people would probably NOT do such things if they were alone.

So 6 months to complete the investigation, another 6 months till CM reads or someone read the report to him, another 2 months to make changes in report to save police. In the mean time all the killer groups get together in support of imam and courts set him free....how why....not enough evidence or gawah mukar gaya.
PS: this report will look so good collecting dust right next to gojra report.

The bigger problem isnt the one whos inciting the violence, the bigger problem is the ones committing the violence. The real culprit is the mindset of our societies. Unless its changed, these violent attacks will not cease.
Its the same thing in countries where religion isnt kept purely spiritual, such as for muslims in Pakistan and Egypt, for Hindus in India and so on. People react violently, and inhumanely, whenever they feel their religion is disrespected.
Human life must have more value than the honour of gods and prophets. If they are true gods and prophets, then they are abe to defend themselves. They dont need agents to intervene on their behalf.

yes we definitely need to work on making the society more progressive ... but it will take time may be centuries
and in the mean time we need to get rid of all such laws which will allow people to misuse them. That is an easy thing to do

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday visited the family of a Christian couple burnt alive by a mob in Kot Radha Kishan near Lahore for allegedly desecrating pages of the Holy Quran.
**The chief minister announced Rs 5 million from the provincial government as compensation for the family of the deceased as well as 10 acres of land.
Condoling with the family for their loss, Shahbaz also announced that the Punjab government will take care of the couple’s three children and provide for their education and well-being.

“There is no limit to which this dreadful act can be condemned. The perpetrators will be tried under anti-terrorism and will be given harsh punishment,” he said.
On Wednesday, police arrested 50 villagers who were believed to be part of the mob that beat the couple to death.
The arrests included the owner of the brick kiln where 25-year-old Shama, who was pregnant at the time of the incident, and her husband Shahzad Masih worked as bonded labourers.

\According to reports, more than a thousand charged people from three nearby villages tortured the couple before putting them into the kiln’s furnace on Tuesday. Police said a local religious leader had fanned the issue.
Kasur District Police has registered a case against 660 villagers, including 60 who have been nominated in the FIR, under sections 302, 436, 201, 148, 149, 353 and 186 of the PPC and 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and CM Shahbaz have already constituted a three-member committee comprising the secretary of minority affairs, chairman of CM’s inspection team and additional IG to investigate the matter.
Kasur police have also enhanced security of the Christian community in the village and in Klarkabad, mostly inhabited by Christians about 3km from Chak 59, the place of the incident.
