This is pathetic. This ridiculous. All 60 people need to go to jail for this. You can't just go around killing people on rumors and general stupidity. I am disgusted with our people and our police. Sadly we have people who will defend this. Not on the website but in Pakistan for certain.

Another shameless act from shameless people... i mean animals. Couple was only "alleged" and was not even guilty. Even if they were guilty, who are we to provide "justice"?
Unfortunately I do not believe justice will be provided to the couple killed. Country in which a X High-Court Chief Justice (Khawaja Shareef) is the lawyer of Killer, who has confessed and was seen by 10s of people while shooting Governor of a province, who will give justice to this couple?

yeah thats what they do. play God but render excuses for not following the prophet (pbuh). Do not hope for any “tabdeeli” in Pakistan till such monsters have free hand to do whatever they want.

What could be done to change the course this nation has adopted? How about a united militant front of all the minorities that take revenge from these idiots. 2 to 3 such incidents would be enough. Main issue is that these monsters become untouchables behind the cloak of religion. once they start feeling heat, once there is deterrent, such incident would disappear gradually. Anyone else with a better plan ?

Punjab govt has to take some serious action to control the religious intolerance. Every time a blasphemy related killing thread opens up here, by default you can tell that it happened in Punjab.

Though this one is not about LJ/SSP but its the similarity in mentality that is killing us.

So this question comes in my mind, is there any i mean really any religious party who raises voice against these heinous crimes? I know they bend upside down to go against Amreeka for any tid bit but any effort to condemn this?

This is so saddening and infuriating at the same time.
For once, it would help if these monsters are punished are through speedy justice. Who is going to follow this commission, its findings, or whether or not those findings have been implemented? You won't hear about this case in media after tomorrow.
These bogus commission make mockery out of Pakistan's legal system. It should be police job's to do investigation, press charges, make immediate arrests and present the culprits in courts. That's how things work. People get murdered and burned in broad day light, and what do we get, CM orders commission. Where is the police? Where are all the senior officers in police? Does CM Punjab runs the police? Why should he make "commissions" to probe gang rape in broad daylight to mass murders and burning of people alive? Again, where is the Punjab police, why cannot they act independently and genuinely fight crimes?

The solutions is not simply right punishment for such crimes, but also creating the right norms and improving the nature and quality of religious, and ethical education in the country across all public and private schools.
As far a public schooling goes, i have no idea how to improve it in Pakistan.

This is really ridiculous. You can form commissions to probe police negligence (this is why commissions are usually formed in other countries), but you can't form these superficial, proven to be useless commissions to do police's job. These aren't even effective PR tactic any more. So really, Enough is enough. It is about the time the CM Punjab stop making a complete mockery of police system and let the department do its job. I mean, if these commissions are supposed to find out "what happened", then why on earth do you have such a massive police force in Punjab? If police cannot do any investigation, press charges, make arrests then what it is its role? Are they just there to guard their private properties and work as personal militias?
A couple has been beaten to death, their bodies were burned - it is nothing but an utter political skulduggery to make a commission instead of allowing the police to its job.
