Wilders relishes every terrorist attack, as it gives him more fodder to attack Islam itself...no doubt many of the posters on this forum have the same views...who else would use such tragic circumstances to further their own political stance? How 21st century...
^^^^ you must be referring to the Hoax by Wilder's. Turns out there is no movie and he proved his point without spending a penny. I believe if I am not mistaken some news stories are picking up on the fact it was all a hoax by Wilder's.

How does it prove anything? Basically, the reaction was rather calm...a few grumblings here and there...no mass protest, no mass violence (in fact, even the Danish cartoon protests were by far and wide peaceful, and there is ample evidence that the protests were co-opted by others who had grievances with the local authorities, whatever the cause).
No, all this shows is that whatever tragedy befalls Muslims, there will always be scum who take the actions of a few, and use it as a civilization gloat on how good they are, and how bad Muslims are.
Concerned people usually empathize...they feel pain...they usually don't hurl abuses at those whom they proclaim to represent.
All Mr. Wilders has done is sully the very notion of free-speech...if one truly holds this as a value, and wants to see it spread into regions where it is not really appreciated as a value or taken seriously...Mr Wilders has perhaps single handedly taken back the "cause" by a good century.
People don't get it...those who manufacture the protests don't want Wilders to shut-up...they want to provoke even more non-violent "violent" (to borrow your use of the term) attacks on Islam, thereby undermining the very values most Westerners would like to see adopted universally.
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands — A website where a Dutch lawmaker was promoting an upcoming film that criticizes the Quran has been suspended by its U.S. hosting service.
The site had shown Geert Wilders’ film’s title, Fitna, the words “Coming Soon” and an image of a gilded Quran. Now it shows a note that the company is investigating whether the site violates the firm’s terms of service.
Wilders has not described the 15-minute movie, due to be released by March 31, in detail but has said it will underscore his view that Islam’s holy book is “fascist.”
Dutch officials fear the movie could spark violent protests in Muslim countries, similar to those two years ago after the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in a Danish newspaper.
Wilders said he would release his movie on the Internet after television stations refused to air it.
“In this situation with the dialogue that’s happening throughout the world we’ve made the choice to suspend the site as of last night,” said Susan Wade, spokeswoman for Network Solutions. “This site is suspended so people can’t see the content right now but the customer still has access to their site. They can make whatever changes are necessary as we complete our investigation.”
Wilders, who lives under police protection due to death threats, could not immediately be reached for comment Sunday.
“How many ways are there left for me to be worked against?” he was quoted saying Saturday night by Dutch press agency ANP.
“If necessary, I’ll go hand out DVDs personally on the Dam,” he said, referring to Amsterdam’s central square.
Thousands demonstrated on the Dam against Wilders’ film Saturday in a protest intended to show that he does not represent the whole country.
Wilders heads a reactionary party with nine seats in the 150-member Dutch parliament, elected on an anti-immigration platform.
Network Solutions’ terms of service contain a sweeping prohibition against “objectionable material of any kind or nature.”
A Dutch court will hear a complaint lodged by Muslim groups seeking to bar Wilders from releasing the film March 28, but there is no legal barrier preventing Wilders from releasing his film before then.
The website was suspended... proving that no one appreciates such fascists attempts at defaming a religion.
Wrong.
The website was suspended... proving muslims are a bunch of whiny cry babies that no one can tolerate. Might aswell give in to muslim threats than have your headquarters attacked by suicide bombers.

Are you saying the U.S. hosted website "gave in" to threats? :)

Not all muslims. I for one was quite looking forward to the post dialogue and to see if much merit was established within the film for an open discussion, critique and much required interspection toward what I believe should develope a revisionist approach to the fundamentals of how Islam and Quran is being used by the few /very many as many have not been served well under the guise of religious dogma in areas of free speech, human rights, women rights and free will.
Network Solutions decided to pull down a site that basically said nothing which will ensure more people will want to watch the video now. As I have said , when you are told not read , or see , better make an effort people.
Aaah , reverse psychology will surely influence some.
Wilders has his own site and Im sure when he's ready to show it , he will.
And this from Netowrk Solutions, We don't pre-censor content
Network Solutions explains why they precendored Wilder's site:*

According to BBC, the Danish cartoonist who made the cartoon is planning on sueing the Dutch film maker for using the cartoon without his permission and as a piece of hate propaganda.
The Qur'an is the Word of God ... It hurls truth at falsehood and breaks open its head ... not my words God's Words.
No one can malign the Qur'an and be thought of as credible. The Qur'an is untouchable at every level. For this reason Muslims need to calm down and combat hatred with the right tools ...
All it is is a collection of various jihad attacks. I think everybody has seen them separately.
It shows the Mohamed prophet cartoon that some found offensive when first released.
I was however surprised at the growth rate of muslim population in Europe. That's going to scare a lot of people
All in all the video was not blasphemous at all. Infact, it was quite agreeable.
If I watch a movie in which hinduism or Christianity is being mocked or represent wrongly, I would feel offended.....but again that's the difference between muslims and non muslims.
Non muslims do not care about their own religion being mocked so why would they care about someone else's religion or religious figure.
There is nothing provocative in the movie that doesn't make one question what the heck is that religion all about? Stone age or carnage?
As for the mohammad cartoon? I have my own theories regarding permission of copyright and protecting one self from more rabid foaming lunatics. I can't recall , was there a Teddy bear included?
