Blackberry.

What’s the best model?

I am thinking to go for Storm but dont know which one 1,2 or 3. I dont c much difference looking at their pics. Curve is better price wise but i dont think its that pretty.

Re: Blackberry.

R u willing to buy blackberry only?

Re: Blackberry.

If i HAVE to buy a blackberry I’d go for the BB Curve Black (I actually have it  )
I don’t think i’d opt for touch screen with BB.

Re: Blackberry.

yah! only cuz i need to keep in touch with my family abroad n its easier with bb like i have been told.

why not?

Re: Blackberry.

Because the reason people get a BB is for BBM, and it has a great keyboard etc.
If you are not getting the BB for this reason then all other reasons are better served by other devices which do a much better job.

Re: Blackberry.

Everyone else has bbm? You can always use Whatsapp, it’s another IM which works across all platform (bb, iphone, android).

Don’t get the Storm and especially not the first gen Storm. They had bad lcd components and I think even Storm2 suffered from bad lcd’s.

Why not get the new Torch? It has a slide out keyboard and is also touch screen. I’ve played around with it and it’s pretty good IMO.

Re: Blackberry.

The Torch is pretty cool if you want a touchscreen and keyboard combination.

Like Tofi said, if you are not after the keyboard function, don’t get a BB, get something else.

I have the Bold 9780 and it hasn’t failed me at anything. Excellent keyboard and decent battery life too.

Re: Blackberry.

like which 1?

Torch is really expensive :frowning: I dont wanna pay that much for a mobile i dont really find very attractive but just need to communicate :p.

Ok…rite! thnx.

Re: Blackberry.

Get an Android phone. They all have an attached gmail account and the email functionality is just the way to go now. Plus the fact that it automatically comes with GPS (free maps too), compass, tons more free apps. The list of things to do on an Android phone is endless.
In this day and age opting for BB device doesn’t make sense. I don’t think that company is going to survive more than a few years. Upper management is leaving the company, its stock just took a major hit and market is just being lost. Anyhow, don’t wanna bore you with all the details.
Even get a Windows Phone 7, instead of BB, you’d be better off.

Re: Blackberry.

Oh ok. I guess if the android phones have bbm like functions i can opt for one. Hmm.

thanks again.

Re: Blackberry.

What? I didn’t say that Android has any BBM like service. I said it uses regular email and has a better integration with that. You can use Google-Talk on the phone for realtime instant messaging, but that’s as far as it goes.

Re: Blackberry.

Ok so only blackberry has bbm like service and no other mobile :D?! Rite.

Re: Blackberry.

BBM = BlackBerry Messaging
How can any other device have BBM? Wouldnt it just be Android Messaging or iPhone messaging then? :smack:

Re: Blackberry.

I thought you had an iPhone. Such a traitor .

Although I must say that Blackberries are the best of all smart phones…especially for those with busy calendars.

Re: Blackberry.

Oho! i know that. but i mean i heard they r not as good as bbm service.

Re: Blackberry.

Not to split hairs, but Palm Pilot had a pretty good PDA.
As I said in post # 5 if you are getting the BB for its keyboard then its fine. For anything else look elsewhere

Re: Blackberry.

Rite!

And is the samsung tablet any good?!

Re: Blackberry.

Yes, it is

Re: Blackberry.

Re: Blackberry.

Well, you didn’t specify what specify what your question was so my answer was general too. And again you ask “how good”, so my answer
