Re: Birth Stories

I'm full term now, and due in a few days and my WORST nightmare right now is a cord accident or meconium aspiration or any fetal distress complication :s
I request you ladies to make a small prayer that I have an easy and uncomplicated delivery and have a perfectly healthy and normal baby inshAllah.

Re: Birth Stories

i think with the cord accident etc....you can actually tell that somethings wrong because there tend to be less movements of the babyetc.? so dont worry insha-allah everything will be fine:)

Re: Birth Stories

hey dun worry @ all... My mum uzed 2 tel me dat my elder sis wuz born @ home normally n had the cord wrapped all around er neck.,,, bt she wuz fine n healthy... So the point is ALLAH is always there 4 hiz creatures,,,, u jus b relaxed n put ur worries aside,,, n trust in ALLAH،,,i got 2 kidz n i wuz 2 much horrified both tymez bt beleiv me, ALLAH made evrythng so easiy 4 me... N ill pray 4u azwelll,,, :)

Re: Birth Stories

Woho. Scary stuff.

Re: Birth Stories

Wait till you actually go thru it. ;)

Re: Birth Stories

To be honest I can't remember the pain, once it's over u forget about it so guys please don't get scared by reading online stories. Just think if all us women can do it why can't you?

I had my first baby in Jan this year...normal delivery :) Will share the story in my free time.

Wish all you pregnant women a normal and smooth delivery!

Re: Birth Stories

I love reading birth stories, its strange how so many women go through different experiences to bring a little daughter/son into the world.

For my first Daughter who is now 3, she was due on the 9th June 2007 so on the 8th of June my midwife came to see me and checked and said that I was not dilated and that I would probably have to be induced after a week. So later that night I went to sleep only to wake up to use the toilet. I went to the toilet came back and slept some more. I woke up again 2 hrs later to go to the toilet and when I was wiping down there I felt a hard surface. I quickly woke up my husband and told him we needed to go to the hospital, i can feel the baby head and the baby is coming I was nervous, scared and worried lol. My hubby called my mom and we went to the hospital once there the midiwfe looked at me told me to walk to the labour room. They checked me over and I asked for epidural but the midwife smiled and said the baby's head is halway out just give one push so i did and my beautiful daughter was born 9th June 5.51 am. The midwife told me that if we were a little late then i would be having the baby in the car. They were suprised that I didn't tear and went natural. My active labour was ony 20 mins.
With my second daughter due on 23 June 2009. I woke up in the night and went to the toilet and saw that i was bleeding I called the hospital and they said to come in and they will check me over. So once again I woke up my husband and arriving at the hopital i felt a slight twinge in my stomach and they took me to the labour ward. The midwife checked and i asked for epidural lol and she said no you can't you are 8 cm already So waiting after 10 mins i was ready and my daughter was born at 5.01 on 17 june 2009. Both of my labours were alhamdullialh so relaxing and I am one of those luckiy people who doesn't feel contractions until the baby is ready to pop out lol

Re: Birth Stories

^ WOW!!! you are an extremely fortunate lady!!

Re: Birth Stories

masha-allah how lovely :) I didnt think it could be so simple....you make it sound to be so easy :D I pray mine goes like that as well insha-allah :)

Do you think during you're pregnancy you did something that couldve made the birth this easy for you?....such as exercise or daily walks etc....do you think you did something different which other women maybe dont do? :) share the secret!!! :)

Re: Birth Stories

LFP- I don't know if this helped me or not but i kept active throughout my pregnancies i used to go for a 30 min walk each day. It helped me not to put on any excess weight and also helped me to stay active. Throughout both of my pregnancies i also took prenatal vitamins till the day i gave birth. I took one a day with my main meal. I believe this helped me alot . Inshalah your pregnancy will be as smooth as possible

Re: Birth Stories

i think the daily walk is probably what made the difference :) did you start from day 1 of pregnancy till the end (i.e. till the birth)?

Re: Birth Stories

Agree, trust me daily walks during the last few days help alot!!
