Birth stories

Any guppans have a regular birth after a c/s ?

Just wondering if you have any different experiences after a c-section ?

Re: Birth stories

My mamoo's wife has had four boys masha Allah with c-section. She said once a c-section always a c-section.

Re: Birth stories

Not always true. Its a myth. That’s why I am asking.

Re: Birth stories

Diva
is there something u are trying to tell us???

Re: Birth stories

Mumani had her first baby after 9 yrs of trying, so her doc didn't want to take any chances and went for a c/sec. She had her 2nd baby last month by regular birth...
usually its heard once a c/sec, always a c/sec.. but this proved otherwise. :)

there were no complications whatsoever.

Re: Birth stories

there is no reason why vbac is not possible unless the baby is in breech position or the mother has high bp and other circumstances beyond control.

Re: Birth stories

it scares the crap out of me when i think of getting pregnant..... and delivery... I salute you women.....

Re: Birth stories

I wanna baby :bummer:

Re: Birth stories

i have yet to see a regular birth after c-section .... .. a friend of mine is expecting these days and she had her first one with c-section too .. her doctor says if she rest well she have a chance for a regular birth... m just waiting for her due time to see if her doctor is right about that.

Re: Birth stories

My husband's niece had first baby by c sec and the second was a normal birth.
I have heard that its an old myth and not always true.

Re: Birth stories

One of my co-worker's wife gave birth to four (4) boys.. first two with C and last two were v-birth.

My wife gave birth to two healthy and very demanding babies, both with C. She did not want to go through the pains of v-delivery.

What I am hearing is that insurance companies are making medical decision these days. In many cases, if you opt for v-birth after you have had a C, the insurance comany refuses to cover, due to higher risk of complications.

Re: Birth stories

I heared a woman can have a c-section 3 times maximum..:konfused:

Re: Birth stories

so what did women do in the old days when they couldn't deliver the babies vaginally and dayies (midwives) obviously weren't doctors so how did they deliver the babies?

Re: Birth stories

In the cases where c-section were ACTUALLY required but not available, the women and/or the babies died. The thing is that many, many c-sections really arent "required". Its safe to at least try for vaginal delivery after c-section and in the US, its encouraged. Many women fear the pains of childbirth more than the pain of c-section so they take the "easy" way out and thats the problem. THeres nothing wrong or unsafe with trying for vaginal delivery after a c-section as long as the mother and baby are monitored. It takes only moments to get the baby out surgically should the situation require it. Most women dont realize the seriousness of the surgery, that the risks of the surgery FAR outweigh the risks of trying for vaginal birth.

Re: Birth stories

I wud never hav a C section if i didnt need to !!
I want all that pain so I can rub it in my kids face later on how much trouble I went through for em bwhahahahaa

Re: Birth stories

sometimes one doesn't have a choice.

Re: Birth stories

women who deliver their first babies by Caesarean section face a significantly higher risk of an unexplained stillbirth during their next pregnancy. and its not any of the myths, thats what science has proven !

Re: Birth stories

Mr. B don't scare women. I have seen quite few cases where second pregnanies were not only fine, but delivery was easy too.
I have c-sec after 2 days of contractions and my baby wasn't breathing well. I will not like to have c sec ever, if i will have a choice.

Re: Birth stories

thats what the doctors advise
and people can have normal v deliveries after having a c section

Re: Birth stories

hmm. My friend had a csection for her first preg. and now she lost her 2nd baby during the 8th month of pregn.
