BCP to stop periods??? never heard of that …
when i was going to india … i was concerned for having them … becuz i knew that there is a serious issue with water and stuff over there in the toilets …
i was traveling … not visiting family or anything .. and had to be on the move constantly …
so then my mother got me some pills from a gynecologist which i had to start taking about 4-6 days before the actual date of my periods … and these were basically to delay them … and i needed to stay clear for a week … so i took these pills from 4-6 before the actual date, till when i wanted to stay clear …
they start about 2 or 4 days after you stop taking the pill …
i was told this is just an emergency thing … and MUST NOT be made a habit …
and i think this is a good alternative for emergencies like weddings 
… and i understand the need to take them becuz some of us can have bad cramps 
but also be aware … that any method used to delay in such haste may cause slightly heavier periods afterwards, or may give you slightly more bad cramps … depending from person to person …
i had no problem though …
sorry i dont remember the name of these … becuz i am talking about 2 or 3 years ago …
