Bina khan is just famous for her bland makeup, self promotion, overwhelming prices and pathetically arrogant and sarcastic attitude!

I emailed her last year to ask whether she does bridal make-up in London, cos she said she visits London every other month - my sister is getting married and quite liked some of her brides in the photos.
She said to tell her our dates and she will see if she is in the country and she would maybe arrange something. We found someone else we liked in the end so never pursued her,
but I have no idea whether she would have done it :/

AND on top of all this blah makeup she has increased her prices! - ANAM's prices are so fair! love Anam's work!

you have NO idea how relieved i am to read this post!!! I booked Bina Khan for my december wedding at the insistence of my in-laws (karachi-ites) because i had no idea about MUAs in karachi....and reading all the negative opinions scared me so much!!! I'm not a heavy-makeup fan nor do i wear makeup regularly (nor does it generally suit me), maybe once in a blue moon so I thought she'd be a good option..now perhaps not so much :S And I already booked her too so theres no backing out :( I hope she's not really that rude/arrogant/non-compromising...the receptionist I called seemed quite haughty though :( Would she be open to considering a print-out of what I want to look like?

Girls seriously most of you all think Bina Khan is not worth for wedding makeup? I heard Anam's brides look only good in pictures and not in real? I am so confused. I need to decide MUA as shortly as i can! PLEASE HELP & SUGGEST! Thanks

Blueginger, I had a very good experience with her. I went to her for my barat day (went to Cistre for my valima). I was the only bride booked on that day, so I got her full attention. She spent a good amount of time doing my make-up and was not in a hurry at all. She applied everything on my face herself, there was no assembly line where I was carted around from assistant to assistant. I was very happy with the base especially. In general, I felt she did a very good job since she didn't make me look unnatural, just enhanced my features (which is exactly what I was looking for). I do have to say that she is not very open to getting directions from her brides. She expects you to trust her completely, which worked out fine in my case, but has often backfired.
If your wedding is next month though, you might find it difficult to get an appointment, so do call them to see if she is available on your dates. That will also help you to narrow down your choices. I should also add that while I had a very good experience with her, Bina Khan hasn't been getting the best reviews lately, so if you can, ask your friends and family for reviews too! Hope this helps. greysanat i am happy that u had good experience. bina is very nice until u dont make faces in front of her(as if u r disliking her work) . i fond she is nicer with brides if brides request her, rather than ordering her :p.. bina khan's brides are always in safe hands if one can afford :D

^You're right! It's unfortunate, but if you give in to her completely and don't make a squeak, she does good work. If that's according to your taste, brilliant, otherwise it's a messy situation.

Well i think Bina khan isnfar more better thn Shamain or Sabs !! I got my baraat and mehndi makeup done by her .. She is really good at her work :)
