Re: Bin Roye
if SRK and Salman are still coming and doing as lead roles then why not Hamayun Saeed ![]()
Humayun good job man!
Re: Bin Roye
ive read the novel. i wonder if it will be similar.
Ok Humayun Saeed actually looks good. He has lost weight. I like the guy. Armeena too. Not a fan of Mahira but she also looks pretty. I guess Armeena and Mahira are sisters in the movie.
Re: Bin Roye
Humayun peaked years ago and people only reminisce about his early dramas. That is why I have a hard time seeing him play lead opposite the likes of Mahira. The chemistry isn't there.
Re: Bin Roye
I only liked him in Doraha and some other old drama. Ughhhh.
Was it 'Mehndi' ?
Re: Bin Roye
Anyone going to watch it? Its releasing globally on Eid day...I might go watch it if my sister or other half agrees to come along

Re: Bin Roye
Due to MNS threat, Pakistan film ‘Bin Roye’ to not screen in Maharashtra
As shared earlier Bin Roye is not releasing in the Indian state of Maharashtra which includes its capital Mumbai. Film distributor Nadeem H. Mandviwala shared this story saying it is banned as it was a ‘Pakistani’ film. Today India Today has confirmed the news that the film will not be released in the state of Maharashtra, however the reason is different. It is due to threats from some organization which compelled the distributors B4U to stop its screening.
Here is the full content of India Today’s story
Pakistani film Bin Roye will not be screened in Maharashtra. This decision was taken by B4U Films following threats by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). The film wing of the MNS had threatened to vandalize the theatres if B4U decided to screen the movie in the state. It was MNS leader Amay Khopar who on behalf of the MNS film wing – Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena had written to B4U Films objecting to the Bin Roye being released and screened in Maharashtra. MNS objected to the proposed release on the grounds that Pakistan has been sponsoring terror attacks on the country particularly in Maharashtra. MNS also pointed out that the Jawans were being killed on the border. “Moreover, Pakistan does not allow Indian artiste to work in Pakistan,” said Khopkar in the letter.
The letter had claimed that if B4U ignored their objections and went ahead to release the film in the state, then they would protest in MNS style, indicating that theatres screening the film would be vandalized. B4U Films has replied to MNS that the film Bin Roye would not be released in Maharashtra. The film is scheduled to be released on July 18, world wide.
Bereft of any hardcore agenda, MNS and its chief Raj Thackeray have been trying to be relevant by raking up controversies. In March this year, due to MNS protest closing show of the Lakme Fashion Week at Bhau Daji Lad museum at Byculla was shifted to Palladium Hotel.

We are releasing Bajran Bhaijan in Pakistan.
A film copied Pakistani Naat without permission, copyright violation.

Re: Bin Roye
Not a fan of Salman Khan but he said it is NOT anti Pakistan.
Re: Bin Roye
^ who kya hammaray censor board ko message de haha hai ?? Most indian films are anti pakistan and those so called "not anti" pakistani movies also present biased indian point of view. india is not allowing our film makers access to their market why should we give them access to our market?
Re: Bin Roye
^ I said Salman Khan never said its "ANTI PAKISTAN" he said the opposite so was just correcting that. I never went into the debate of whether to allow access to Bollywood movies or not that's a separate discussion altogether.
Re: Bin Roye
^ I got your point. I didn't say you were getting into any debate. I was just presenting my pov on his statement.
Re: Bin Roye
Watched it today…story was predictable…first half hour was too slow and not much of character building happened…Music was great IMO and the clothes were to die for…Mahira gave steller performance, she has improved alot since she first started…Overall its an okay film. Hope they keep improving and come out with good films
Its great to see that people are coming out to watch pakistani films…the shows were sold out all day on saturday…i watched the 23:50 show and even that was packed :k:
Saw another trailer of a pakistani film today called Yalgaar…it looks banging from its promos…cant wait to see it
Re: Bin Roye
I watched it today and loved it. Yes there were technical flaws, editing issues but the film worked despite that cuz' it had a beautiful soul. It is drama based which has always been our forte. Good story , excellent dialogues , a strong script. Plus, nice music, beautiful costumes, attention to detail and aesthetic art direction. Performance wise Mahira stole the show. She dominated the film throughout. Her character had grey shades but her portrayal made you empathize with her. Humayun also did well. Both shared great chemistry.
Above all it's a clean family movie no vulgairity no obscene songs and nothing cringeworthy it's not a film for those looking for cheap entertainment. It proves you can make commercial romantic films without cheap gimmicks. Kudos to the producers for taking our cinema in the right direction.
Re: Bin Roye
As for negatives, please never cast Armeena in any film. She 's worse actress than a plastic doll. All she did was smile and read lines off paper. Plus, her character wasn't established properly. Zeba Bakhtiar and Javed Sheikh were wasted in inconsequential roles. Editing was loose. Some characters disappeared without any explanation. The pace was inconcsistent slow in first half and hurried in second. The ending felt rushed. The second half of the film had cinematic feel which was missing in earlier portions probably because of framing glitches and the fact that too many directors have worked on the film.
Apart from these shortcomings, all in all it was a very beautiful film with a strong message. It looked Pakistani distinct in its style and strong focus on story. Far better in content than movies coming out of parosi mulk. These are the type of films we should be making.
Re: Bin Roye
Agree with everything Lily said!
Overall, it was enjoyable. If this is the future of Pakistani Cinema then we'll be okay.
Good clean fun - some technical faults but nothing that hinders the overall expierence of the movie.
The music is to die for
