No wonder Pakistan is in the mess, BB had nothing in her CV other then credentials of her father, Balwal, son of Mr 10% and one of the most courrpt politician (BB) in Pakistan. is this enough for anyone to lead the country. he can be the leaders of thugs and looters but not of sensible peoples. Ameeen Faheem seems to be nice replacement.
Let me remind you Pakistan suppose to be a republic, this is the time to gie the leadership to some sensible person on logical grounds.

Bilawal is only 19 years old, so the real power holder will be his father. That is something the actual Bhutto clan will not take kindly, and knowing wadera rivalries it will get bloody.

If PPP does not elect a leader soon (whoever that may be), there will be power struggle and party is likely to break into different groups.
I am surprised a big political party like PPP did not have a succession plan or a designate deputy. This is a recipe for disaster.

I think Bilawal is too young to take on such responsibility because the politics will pollute and spoil his mind. Perhaps Mr. Aitzaz should be given the command of the party, and Bilawal can be a protege and learn from those who are experienced so he can one day revive his Grandfather's legacy. Aitzaz has indeed proven to be a man of principles thus far, so there's nothing to diminish his image or belittle him, if anything he'll be favored heavily because he suffered for his beliefs.
Mr. Ameen Fahim is another contender with plenty of experience and tackling diplomatic situations under his belt too...
Sadly, and quite rightly! I think Mr. Zardari needs to play the Mr. mom role for a while and keep taking care of the children, especially the daughters because that would be the best thing he can do.

It's a recipe for bloodshed believe me, knowing the nature of Sindhi wadera rivalries. The death of BB unfortunately exposes to all us how bankrupt the talk of democracy was from the PPP, that they are unable to ELECT a leader democratically, and have to have one imposed by Zardari, Pakistan's greatest crook.

Aitizaz Ehsan is definitely a contender. But will he conform to what Zardari is looking for? I can see Zardari breaking up PPP if the leader does not tow Zardari's line. Let's hope sense prevails.
