In the event of recent news about French bans on wearing a “burqini” while only allowing a bikini, I literally had to look for this word. And this is what it says:
A burkini (or burqini; portmanteau of burqa and bikini, though qualifying as neither of these garments) is a style of swimsuit for women. The suit covers the whole body except the face, the hands, and the feet, while being light enough for swimming. This type of swimwear was designed with the intention of creating swimwear for Muslims who observe hijab in this way. The amount of skin covered is about the same as the person wearing a full-body wetsuit and a swimming cap.

That being said, why would French or anyone ban it anyway? People visit beaches for their leisure and relaxation. How can a govt meddle as wut to wear and wut not. I dont get it.
And I agree that it’ll just promote more intolerance on one side and at the same time will give the extremists to exploit the minds of pessimist muslims.

The bikini. Invented in 1946 by Louis Réard. Banned from beaches in many countries & declared sinful by the Vatican
It actually means in 70 years entire west will be wearing burkinis
