Because people somehow manage to turn normal general threads into unnecessary gender bashing. Often something is said that is taken in totally the wrong way and then you have complaints and accusations of 'male bashing' or 'female bashing' going on.
People need to grow a pair and take things said on a forum with a pinch of salt.
