Have you ever had to make the biggest decision of your life? The kind that changes your life, or not making it would’ve taken you to a completely different direction? What was the decision? How easy/hard was it? Looking back, do you think you made the right or best decision for yourself? It could be anything from buying a house to choosing a career or something more personal.
Re: Biggest decision?
choosing a career would have been the biggest for me so far...
It's been a bumpy rides with mostly bumps since then :D
but I am enjoying it so far... Even when fails in between, I learn something new and move on.

Yeah. It was very hard. So many choices. but i wetn with the chicken makhni. And i did not regret it. (until today but that's a diff story).
but chicken tikka masalah is similar or so they said…
nice topic! I think making decisions have always been very hard for me especially since there have been 2-3 times where i got stuck between 2 options and deciding on one had been hell for me. The most important or "crucial" decision i had to make was to give up studying fashion design, which i had always wanted to study, for a better university and to get a degree. Its quite ironice because i believe that the students should study what they have interest in instead of going for line which is beyond their capacity or interest. In my case i had always wanted to become a fashion designer (still do!!!) and when i came back 2 pakistan i knew i wud get a degree in fashion. I am very proud of my academic achievements/history :D and i am very careful with any decisions related to my studies/career. So i did alot of research on all the universities carrying arts/design courses. And i knew after all the research that i wanted to go to N.C.A (National College of Arts), the oldest art institute of the Sub-Continent :). But the tricky part came that they didnt offer fashion design but textile design and the only reputable place for fashion design course was P.S.F.D which offered a diploma not a degree and that wasnt acceptable for me. So since i had 3-4 months before my course at N.C.A had to start and i had to make a decision and select between the two...whether to go for my dream course or a more reputable uni offering something design related ut not exactly what i wanted. So i was in a mess....but i took use of those few months and got admission in P.S.F.D but was not able to fit in lol i didnt like the teachers there or their method of teaching so in the end the hard decision was made and i opted for N.C.A :D. LOL, it was veryyyyyyyyy hard rite now i am laughing at it but i remember those days were so tough and i couldnt sleep at nite :( thinking what if i regret my decision later on and its a 4 yr programme and all those yrs wl be wasted than:(.
BUT thanks to Allah, i never not even once regretted my decision and infact i think i made a great decision :). Now with a degree in Textile Design i can venture into interior, fashion, graphics, etc and infact have so many more options now. Also, it was a great learning experience for me and though everyone's whose opinion i got before coming to N.C.A told me that i might not be able to fit in as there are all kinds of people coming there from really rich families to some really poor ones and it offers quite a contrast. But i think thats the beauty of my university and thats what make us learn even more from each other and realise how art has no boundaries and that there is talent and aesthetic in every part of the world and in every section of the society.
So in the end my crucial decision happened to be my wisest decision so far :) And i am so proud of myself for doing it :biggthumb .
Re: Biggest decision?
Oh boy, that IS a hard decision. Glad to know it all worked out for you! :)

Re: Biggest decision?
sometimes we make the right decisions unintentionally ![]()
having done my bachelors, I wanted to by a h.s teacher. It would take me only a 1 yr diploma to start teaching, but my Dad said that if i wanted to be a teacher, i’d have to masters in teaching (a 2 yr program), so i searched around, found a masters of medical physics which was 1.5 yr full time
and thats purely the reason i picked it. Alhumdulillah I am so glad I did! this has been so rewarding, and if I ever want to get rich in this field, I’ll just move to the US, not ![]()
Lol... why now you're craving the other choices? Or bad tummy?

Re: Biggest decision?
Kay a serious answer. All the "decision" decision type things i've made. were always with little things. the bigggg decisions, like where to go, what to study etc..were made b/c of circumstances or just going with the flow....Alot of decisions iv'e made i do regret (99.99 school-related)....|
Someone told me that it's improtant to be happy wtih your decisions. Whether they turned out to be the right choice or not, one should take pride in the fact that it was their choice and a decision THEY made. I don't know how easy or even true that is..but i am certainly trying.
hahaha…booj..naaah!
i am honored yaar…i seriously find no pleasure in making my own “daid eent ki masjid”
Huqooq-ul-baad comes after Huqooq-ul-baad…but we take as dard-e-sirf
but i get happiness and take is as an honor that i dont have to stress myself and to go against my will.
whereas big decision…hmm…to me every reasoning leads us to another reasoning, a better one!
what did u have for naashta this morning ![]()

Re: Biggest decision?
Of all the decisions one can make in a lifetime - what college to attend, what to major in, what career to persue etc, hands down the biggest decision one can ever make is
who they marry. Who they will spend the rest of their life with, who they will bear and raise children with.
No contest.
Re: Biggest decision?
Home education for our children was the biggest decision I made. It involves lots of hard work and money but I'm satisfied with it.
