Bidders paying millions for vanity license plates in Abu Dhabi.
In just 5 auctions, 300 number plates were sold for a total of $56,000,000. The lower the number on the plate, the higher price it will raise. A 2-digit number will sell for more compared to 3-digit number. The money raised goes to government-run charity (a lot of it going to victims of taffic accidents).
Talal Ali Mohammad Khouri, a stock broker, who holds the record for paying the most money for number plate wants to get “1” and is willing to pay 15-20 million for it. :hayaa:
