When I started working here i was so happy that its mostly women but now I realize how big of biatches they really can be. SO this one old fart lady whoes daughter has thousands of dollars in debt and still hasn’t even completed her freshman year is older than me and she just cant stand me cuz i graduate this weekend. She hates me cuz my dad bought me a nice car, paid for college and she hates the fact that I am going to get a WAYYY better job than her(oh and not to mention the fact that i am young and beautiful and shes not haha, I added this part). SO basically its her goal to make my life hell for as long as I am here. I am sick of telling the boss about her cuz hes such a girl and doesnt do anything about it. I dont say anything cuz i am better than her. I dont know what to do though, its driving me up the wall, arrrggghhhhhhhhh

oh examples fo things she does...
- she spent half an hour looking at pictures from an event we had last month but when I started looking at them, shes like we have more important things to do.
- she comes from lunch 15 mins late but when I come from lunch 20 mins late she makes a big deal out of it
- she tells people to go talk to me instead of walking them through the application process herself(which btw is her job)

Barfee, I had a woman like that at the last place I worked. Her problem with me was that I was working part-time while going to university. She was a lot older, very close to retirement, but she also wanted to work part-time. HR said no to her request, but seeing me come in 3 days a week only made her angry.
She started saying stuff about me to the other women on the floor. I got fed up, complained to HR and then quit. Mind you, many people complained about this woman, but they refused to fire her cause she was a senior assistant and worked for one of the biggest lawyers at the firm. She was nasty though, personality wise ... she had one of the lawyers she was working for fired by screwing up her work before sending it out to the clients.
Women can be really competitive with each other. It's pretty sad.

MehnazQ I am leaving in a week anyways so I guess theres nothing much I can do. What I do want to make sure is, the next intern isn't treated the same way but the next one is white and chiristian so that might make a difference.
I am very careful at work about talking about things and people so I never talked about her and her behavior to anyoen else other than my boss but recently I have been and I found out that shes been nasty to other student as well. Basically she wants student slaves and total control which my boss refuses to give her. Another reason she hates me is cuz I get paid almost as much as her but I am an intern and have like half the duties that she does.
I pitty her.

barfee why does she know how much you are getting paid? you should never tell these things to co-workers esp ppl like this.
mehnaz and barfee dayum thats messed up.....the only real biatch i've come close to was at an interview for a broker's assistant at merrill lynch. she called me for the second interview...was extremely rude while interviewing, sent me a very rude rejection letter and even misspelled my name. i sent an equally rude one back though misspelling her name .... :(
