I am actually still in the process. I will not convert until I have read and understood the Koran and its very difficult to read with understanding. I will not just "go through the motions" - I want it to be good and clean, with full understanding when I undertake such a responsibility. I've been too pre-occupied with my boys to be able to dedicate the time and concentration as yet but its something that I'll have the ability to dedicate myself to in the days to come...ie., when little guy is in school full time. INshallah.
Inshallah inshallah.....I salute your patience though...you don't get annoyed when people ask you the same question again and again.

I really feel happy that you didn't say yes just for the heck of it. And goodluck with the process!
Is that your story? :)
I also wanna know maroush!! is that your story? :D
paki girls with non-paki husbands/fiance/boyfriend ... how do you feel walking out with your partners? especially walking into a desi store/restaurant?
finding the need to ignore a situation means that the situation is a problem at some level, and ignorance is your way of dealing with it.
on eid i was walking my man in the city-center ... there were others out celebrating too ... in their prettiest shalwar kameezes i assume ... not one person ignored us, we had to ignore all of them!
but it doesnt stop bothering me.
Re: bi-racial relationships
bi racial kids turn out to be hot.
i really would want to know who these "people" are .... cuz we keep talking about "these people" ... who are they? where do they come from? what make them think the way they think?
Actually they are those people who thinks that in their family a man is allowed to do "anything" but a woman has to be in limits.
Though I still will think the same BUT keeping me also into limits and not going for "anything"
I am not into any tribal or marriage within family system BUT I take religion at first, when its for any happening to start.
Like many men / boys of so said rooted family system are allowed to marry a girl from other family system but a girl from their family system cant marry any outsider.
khair this is another problem.
what exactly makes her case a rare case?
rare means mostly it happens that the guy or girl is together due to a reason.. and I said mostly not all.. so thats why rare.. now there are a lot of reason I dont want to start here. :) I hope you can think of them.
bi racial kids turn out to be hot.
damn it, I came into this thread to say exactly that. You are right.
bi racial kids turn out to be hot.
depends
hottest combo - white + asian
worst combo - black + asian
depends
hottest combo - white + asian
worst combo - black + asian
Why is that the worst combo?
Why is that the worst combo?
very few people emerge from this combo looking hot...
What is your definition of being hot? :halo:

Is that your story? :)
In a nutshell, yes. :)
Don’t dodge the question.

i really dont know what you’re talking about …
that’s true though .. hahahahah … ![]()
awwwwwwwwwwww ![]()
maroush i recall you writing somewhere that you dont really look Paki at first sight, that you have light hair and colored eyes. do you feel that saved you a lot of hassle with strangers?
and how does being in this relationship effect your original identity?
sorry i’m asking so many questions. i have decided upon doing my master’s thesis on immigrant communities. i have to narrow it down to either bi-racial relationships, or identity. :hinna:
Re: bi-racial relationships
lol about white and desi making beautiful kids! I have to say that my boyzles are all very beautiful but this comes from the dad who is desi and so very beautiful himself.

Mo3 I hope you don't mind me asking this but have you or your hubby ever talk about the possibilty of you never converting. What if you never come around and Islam never make enough sense for you to convert. I guess if he is not bothered by it now he is not gona be bothered one way or the other. But I am curious though...You know there are certain things in Islam on which there is no compromise so how you guys negociate on these??
