bi-racial relationships

I never said I want to be an Arab.

I’m a Pashtun and Punjabi. My paternal family is from Mardan (Pashtunkhwa) and my maternal family is from Lahore (Punjab) and I love being Pashtun and Punjabi, love the languages, the cuisine, the culture, the land, the colors, the traditions…

I’m not saying we should abandon our languages, no, they are Allah’s gifts to us and they are beautiful, every language is sacred to me, the Muslim world is a bouquet…

…All I said is all Muslims should also learn Arabic (aswell as our own languages) to unite us because it is the language of the Koran, the language of our Prophet :saw2: and the language of Islamic liturgy…

…If Pakistanis can learn English for wordly purposes and communicate in it on a Pakistani bulletin board or have Urdu as their national language which has nothing to do with Punjabi/Pashto then why can’t we also learn Arabic?

I respect Arabs as fellow Muslims and fellow humanbeings but I do not feel inferior to them or in awe of them, I believe we’re all the same.

Some Arabs might be racist but don’t generalise them all, you get good and bad in every group, including our Pakistanis (as is evident from this thread) and Indians (Jatts look down on Rajputs, Brahmins look down on Khatris).

Some Pakis look down on Bengalis, some Arabs look down on Pakistanis but the types who are racist are usually the secular irreligious types.

I know a lot of Arab boys who are married to Pakistani girls and Pakistani boys who are married to Arab girls.

Just because one person is racist does not mean you should be racist in return, two wrongs don’t make a right and you are not justified to be racist to a whole group because of the actions of a few.

I don’t just believe in Muslim unity, I also believe we Muslims should live cordially in harmony and tolerance with Non-Muslims as fellow humanbeings.

Even if someone is bad to you don’t stoop to their level, forgive those who transgress against you for the sake of Allah and Allah will forgive you your transgressions.
