PPPs vote bank in Punjab deteriorated in a matter of couple of years, owing to Bhutto’s strong arm tactics. That is why Bhutto resorted to widescale rigging in the 77 elections, as a result of which he showed a laughable 93% vote in Punjab. To this day, 77 elections are considered as the most heavily rigged elections in the history of Pakistan.
