first half is slow…second half gets interesting and funny cos Akshay comes in the second half…thats where it picks up…second half is really scary too…din like the scary bits…
but overall good film…me and Atif enjoyed it…

i think movie was good- it was definetly not ur typical bollywood movie wid d usual lovey-dovey stuff... akshay, shiney and vidhya r great actors... but only one complain, dat song 'hare krishna hare raam' i hate it cos i cant get it out my head!

the fact that it's not the usual lovey-dovey bollywood movie is definitely one reason I might watch this movie.
No movie theater nearby though :(.
it seems to have songs from both religious groups like it has that "hare ram" song and then it has that "allah hafiz" song too so director seems to be pretty open minded.

crappy direction and editing and everything else..

akshay doesnt even show up until the interval..
the only good thing is two songs... hare ram and other bangla song.
BTW if you still gonna watch the movie then look for random people running in to movie sets which are unedited.
you have been warned... dont waste your time on this movie.

Its a pretty good movie, not as funny as I thought it might be...but nonetheless, a great movie overall.

i don’t know, I love akshay kumar’s acting when it has that hint of comedy so was it really as bad as you’re saying it is.
I didn’t think “Hey baby” was that good in terms of story or comedy.

This movie is the remanke of a Malyaman movie Manichitrathazhu which is one of the best in Kerala cinema. Directed by Fazil and I think Priyan assisted it. It was made 13 years ago and I would say it ranks up to the best in Hollywood. Beleive me I would not say this out of some bias but I cannot see any bollywood movie coming to close that even now. The reason is great direction from Fazil, great music and top-class acting (Shobhana and Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi etc). Shobhana went on to win the National award and you cannot beat Mohanlal in acting (he is a ace and a natural). The music blended and included great ragas. The script is its basic strength. I was just mesmerised when I saw Manichitrathazhu
And that is why it has being remade in four languages (Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and now Hindi) and became hit in every language.
The Hindi version Bhool Buliya is not a bad remake and I must say that the director retained the original version. The cinematography is brilliant.
But as I said the original had everything going for it. But still I would rate the hindi version 3 out of 5 and if you have not seen the original then it is a must see movie.
The sad part: The original's writer, Madhu Muttam, lives almost in obscurity and that is a shame for Indian Cinema.

For those who are curious to see a clip of the Malayalam movie (Manichitrathazhu) and the shot that won Shobana the national award from .
Watch her switch from Malayalam to a Tamil language.. The husband is Suresh Gopi and guy in the specs sitting near the window is Mohanlal.
And the climax song… a nice classical one…The dancer is tranced and performs the South india classical dance called Bharat Natyam.

It was a good movie over all, last 15 minutes ruined it though. Akshay was funny=good time pass.

I am a major Bollywood critic and an even bigger Akshay Kumar hater so you need to listen to me when i say the movie wasnt that bad after all.
Thankyou smooth_guy for forcing me to watch it 
but when i saw Paresh Rawal in the very first scene i had no choice but to sit down and watch as i happen to be the biggest Paresh Rawal fan.
Reasons why i liked the movie:
Almost no songs.
Different plot with a decent story, none of that bollywood neon coloured bubblegum crap.
Paresh Rawal. Hillarious as always, perfect timing.
Vidya Balan. Going for such a versatile role so early in her career: RESPECT!
Rajpal Yadav ("Aray pushpa beti, kahaan jaa rahi ho gadhay par" 
)
Akshay Kumar. Overacted at times but was good mostly. Second movie i liked him in after Hera Pheri.
