Bhatta mafia in karachi....

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

These are not just the philosophers. Sindhi Muslim did contributed to Sindhi society in all fields even before partition... These were the Sindhi Muslims, who came forward and due to whose efforts Pakistan resolution could be passed in Sindh Assembly. Sindhi society still ideolise people like Shah Inayat, who fought for the rights of farmers in 17th century.... And when someone say that Sindhi Muslims were slaves of Hindu before partition, then he doesn't know the history of Sindh properly.

The current situation with Sindh is due to two reasons.. on one side its lack of honest representation from within the province and the second one is lack of trust for parties outside province. People are vocal about their rights, but they don't have choice.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

I don't think anyone mentioned about slavery, though even today there are hindu feudals in sindh. The point was about karachi and you have to admit that it was basically developed and run by sindhi hindus and parsis among other non-muslims more than anyone and they are gone now. I was answering to that Afat person, who seems like a peepilya to me.

It just reminds me of the famous fable about arabs telling pakistanis that why are you so excited about conquering & ruling al-andulus in the past when it was us (arabs) who did it?

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

And this raise the question about the validity of two nations theory? yesterday, Sindhi Muslims rejected Sindhi Hindus on the basis of religion and now Sindhi Muslims - Non Sindhi Muslims are against each other... People could not determine whether their identity is based on religion or language :(

And this is a big question mark on Sindhi Muslims as well that why they could not be at par with Sindhi Hindus, even so called Muslim rule for centuries.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

And don't forget Allama Umar Bin Doudpota.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

Sindhi Hindus and parsis would have been a part of any development in the province as they were part and parcel of the Sindhi fabric, but that doesn't in any manner mean that the Sindhi Muslims would have been lesser, muqawee has mentioned a few names of some Sindhis of that time. Having said that people have been coming and settling in these lands throughout the centuries and every little bit has made what Pakistan is now. Who ever is living in Karachi now is a reality, we should resign to this reality and accept the other ethnicities living there.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

It's best if we count Karachi separate than sindh I don't think so the populated metropolitan cities belong to any province or state whatever. They have their own admn.to run it and solve problems. That's what I see here like Tokyo or Osaka dosent count in any province/prefecture etc.
Or someone enlighten me.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

Unfortunately this was not the thinking in 1947, when Karachi was separated from Sindh :(

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

LOL

Now I will have to repeat myself ,like a broken record.

Karachi WAS ALREADY a developed and Cosmopolitan City , Suez Canal was opened in 1869 , and two years earlier to it , anticipatingly British spent 250,000 pounds sterling on the development of its port , it became the biggest exporting port of India ,especially all the agricultural produce from Punjab was exported through this port

its cosmopolitian population included, Jews, Iranians, Chinese, British , Australians, Goans, Malbaris , maybe a few Japanese , beside Anglo-Indians, Paris, Hindus, Christian, Muslims, Pathan, Sindhis, Punjabis, Balochis, Marwaris, Kathiwaris, Gujratis, Katchi memons, ...even Sikhs....there still is a Gurdwara on Manora to testify that .

it was among 5-6 cities ,which had the then most developed and modern mode of public transport , ie the Trams , which continued well into the 1960 , as late as 1969 or maybe upto 1972 .

most of the glorious building you see belonged to Hindus and Paris , though Muslims were not far behind .

Let me give you another dark chapter , never discussed or even mentioned in our history , the first ever Curfew in the New Country Pakistan was imposed in Karachi , Jan 48 to be exact , when zealots Killed over 1000 non-muslims here , that created the scare , and it resulted in the flight of 1.2 Million non muslim sindhis , the third highest after 9.3 Million Punjabis and 3.2 Million Bengalis ,...out of a total of 14.5 ,figure out the percentages of the displaced persons due to partition and its REAL impact where it was felt and where it was the most severe ...

the difference between the Punjab Holocaust of 9.3 Million displaced and 10 lac killed , and 3.2 Bengalis displacement was , those happened during and before partition , from 1946-47 onward peaking in Aug-Sep-Oct 47 , and then subsiding till Dec 47 , and from Sindh it started after 48 .

..there is enough material on the partition of Punjab , the latest being the monumental research by Mr Ishtiaq Ahmed , who spent 20 years , and used the Secret British Papers and First hand narratives of the survives to record this ....any way coming back to Karachi .

it was the I think the first city ,which had a Metropolitian corporation , mayor of which was choosen on rotiational basis from Paris.Hindus and Muslims .

so lets stop distorting history and stop spin doctoring it , the loss of that educated middle class of sindh , robbed Sindhi and left it in the hand of left over third class leadership , whatever was left , it scrambled back into the interior , Like G M Syed he retreated back to Sun , and unfortunately , the new comers , did not filed in the GAP , rather they created their own isolated cocoon , sort of an alien like existence with superiority complex , without realizing or rather ignoring the deep scars they have created in Sindhi psychology by robbing them advertly or inadvertently of their educated Middle class..

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

Great
This was a wonderful city before the Ayoub Khan .
He started the ethnic dirt ,shifted the capital near GHQ to make coup easy and didn't care to the problem of people of East Pakistan .

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

Ok the city deteriorated as the capital was moved from there, if its made the capital again will the situation improve?

start playing the ethnicity card and the situation will not be different to what we have in karachi. we should remember that karachi is a multi ethnic city and care is needed while dealing with different ethnicities there. if you remember beirut which was the capital of lebanon, what happened there? according to your theory since it was the capital it shouldnt have gone through the civil war.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

It is very costly but it would be Dera Ghazi Khan,Rajanpur or Dera Bugti .

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

You mean to make any of these cities capital of the country? How about Cheechoo ki Maliya.. BTW Where is it :D

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

Kool
Islamabad was built in a village are .
We need to make it easy for all to reach .
Otherwise shift GHQ to these places .

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

MQM is the biggest bhatta mafia org in this country .........

now they are trying to present themselves as the saviour of karachi ppl.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

Daman pe koi cheent na khanjer pe koi dag.
Tum qatl karo ho ki karamat karo ho.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi…

‘’

i) MQM is the founding father of bhatta mafia. Lets just make it easier for you, if one of the biggest thieves who steal from me start protesting about my theft, that doesnt mean anything to me.

ii) Hand picking some pro-MQM articles with broken fonts and some people blaming fictional people and praising the MQM? Seriously? Forget businessmen, everyone in the streets has to pay bhatta as a homage to Pir Altaf Hussain.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

Everyones so blinded by their love for their chaheetaz they forget the crimes committed by their heroes. Fatima Bhutto can go on and on about Zardari's evil nowadays but the moment you bring up her dad's tactics to her and she would deny his wrong doings. The same goes for the MQM lot here ,just look at them claiming how their beloved party has nothing to do with bhattakhori :D

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi…

Even Rehman Malik would accept but Jiyalas wont!!!KARACHI: Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik on Monday revealed that activists belonging to political parties of the PPP-led coalition government of Sindh are to be blamed for the menace of extortion in Karachi, DawnNews reported.

Malik said that activists of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Awami National Party (ANP) and other parties were involved in extortion in the metropolis.

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi…

saw him on GEO ,quite interesting though, they cant point fingers only on MQM neither on ANP cause they are in allience wid them, they want friendly relation to continue,so there’s no harm in saying that we are also involved lets admit together:biggthumb:

Re: Bhatta mafia in karachi....

^ be-sharmi ki had hai.... interior minister, who is supposed to be responsible for law and order is saying that my party is involved in extortion. he would have been executed by now if it was China.
