well it depends.

if one his like 10,000 posts it means they are flooders and has to be a baji/baja same age as myself cos they have nothing better to do but waste time on gs.

aur agar their comments in threads make sense and are useful then they are older bajiz / bajaz and close to uncle ... aur if they are really really clever then they are uncles and aunties..

aur agar their posts dunt make any sense like goodbaabu then they have to be bhudda/bhuddi cos ..once a person hits a certain age their harkatein become bachpana again ..

but you TLK i d call you an Elder Bhai ..

plus you kinda get some feeling from posts ..like in voice galery .. you listen to ppl and you realise from voice how old they can be. plus how they treat you. like if i told someone how old i am .. and they called me with hey bhai .. then that means k they cant be that old either ..so that person is baji ya bhai too.

but if its someone new .. they just to take the mick.. call em anything you want untill you know em or they reveal to you their age.

bottom line is mostly outa respect and at times just for the fun of it call em what evver ..just to bug em ..

some desis just have a stupid habit of trying to be a baby, foran bhai, baji, uncle, aunty, chahca, chahci ka label thopna zaroori hota hai..heck i recall a gentleman older than my mum referring to her as ammi because he was having dinner with us and i was calling her ammi of cource :D needless to say it was amusing and ammi and I were just looking at each other and chuckling

Most people call me aunty :hmmm: maybe because I’m married and have 2 kids :hmmm: Whatever, I don’t really care that much or at all.

But yeah…it’s good to be careful because some people may be way younger than you think. eh?

Goodnews has a good news, which is that my nick doesn't have aunty on it. Point acha hai, lekin you know, for me it doesn't matter because in real life also, I have many people who call me baji even though I'm younger than them but for some reason, I don't care. That's just me. But I am careful about addressing people. Even Arjay sahab...I have never called him uncle, only with a ji at the end or sahab even though I know for sure he is older than me and a respected member of the community. But I am not sure how he feels about "uncle" so I don't do that. But, I have to say that I don't think people on GS call anyone umcle or aunty out of spite or because they think they are much younger, but just out of fun and maybe respect.
