Yes Tariq, he saved Muslims at Noakhali, October 1946.
He went on a hunger strike in mid Jan 48, two major demands…remove Hindu refugees from mosques, pay 55 crore to Pakistan…both demands were fulfilled.
He was killed and it brought an all over stop to riots in India.
