They are going to get to know about boys, dating and marriage and all that stuff anyway so why not introduce the notion to them in a fun way using Archie Comics? Archie Comics are the best. They are funny, and most of the time talk about real life issues in cartoon form. Would you rather they read Iron Man or something which is full of violence and super hero type girls dressed provocatively?

Well, like most popular female characters, they are kind of silly and vapid. As long as you balance their influence with stronger and more grounded female role models, I think it's okay.

I like Sabrina the teenage witch comics better, I used to find the whole Betty & Veronica competing over Archie, and Archie preferring Veronica distasteful.

Aisha, as much as its hard for me to write this, my girls are going to learn about sex also anyways. Does not mean that I need to try to find a fun way to introduce them to that concept at this age.
