Goodnews … mujhe aap ka masla nahi samajh aa raha hai. Jo kehnay ki koshish kar rahein hain … chand alfaaz mein bayan karain. Khulasa pesh karain.
why be so focused on the intentions of the OP, why not just share your thoughts on the comparison and not investigate an agenda?
i dont really think its necessarily a dogmatic question, nor do you have to make it a question of becoming an unbeliever. like I said if you wished to remain within the framework of Islam you could easily frame it as in your quest to be a good Muslim do huqooq ullah have priority or huqooq ul ibad? or excelling in devotion to religion more important than devotion to humanity? what is worse, if you were remiss in huqooq ullah or huqooq ulibad?
we cannot really say that all of those that claim to be or are religious/Muslim/Islamic figures have always been great humanitarians, and there are many Muslim humanitarians who are not really religious/Islamic figures/scholars etc. so there is clearly in practice a lifestyle choice. What do you respect more between the two, great religious/scholarly achievements/works that have their affect principally in the afterlife or towards Allah or great humanitarian ones?
The comparison is relative to ones perspective and beliefs. There is no one absolute way to compare the two. For instance, intentions are fundamentally important in Islam so in any comparison I would draw I would weigh in the intentions behind an action before declaring what type of person one is. I could also mistake in apparent judgement.
Is one who does service to humanity better or the one who does not do dis-service to humanity better? Can I call the one who does no dis-service any less of a human being to the one who does service to it? Should there be any discrimination between the two should we have to judge them?
I think we should not differentiate between scholarly achievements or humantarian ones. Each deserves its own respect. And both are essential. What is better is relative to the purpose for which it is done. As a muslim what gets me closer to Allah SWT and to a good afterlife is what I would choose and it could very well be a balance between religious achievements and humantarian achievements. Tipping the scales on either side would cause an imbalance somewhere whether felt personally or collectively in society. The delineating factor should be whether ones actions in either sphere are becoming detrimental or not.
Goodnews ka khulasa bhi chand sau ilfaz per mushtamil ho ga. lol
