If you want to do Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University has great respect, especially in Artificial Intelligence & Micro electronics.
I went to a network heavy B-school.
And u r just dying to spill the name... go on go on, no one's stopping u.. psst RF... CH's live-wired nursery school starts with a H and ends with an S. Supplicants galore... hehehe... ;)
The best universities in the US are the Ivy League, and a couple others that are Ivy League-status.
They are:
Formally Ivy League:
Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Cornell
Dartmouth
Columbia
Brown
U Penn
Ivy League-status:
MIT
Stanford
Cal Tech
Of course if you're talking graduate education, some schools don't have certain programs (for example, Princeton does not have a medical school), but overall, these are the elite universities in the US.
Yes, rankings tend to be pretty dumb. Every magazine comes out with a different result, and then this year the Wall Street Journal did its own ranking that informs us that Stanford business school is the 29th best school while “Tuck” is #1. The stupidity of these rankings knows no bounds. ![]()
