Re: best sun block

If you are in the US, Neutrogena sunscreen is great under makeup and is a much drier formulation than other greasy ones that will melt in the Pak heat

Loreal makes awesome sunscreen

Re: best sun block

So sunblock is better with blocking the effects of sun rays completely?

Why would anyone buy sunscreen though if sunblock does the job?

Re: best sun block

The western world invented sunblock/ sunscreen to protect the skin against harmful skin rays preventing wrinkles and skin cancer. They really don't prefer fair gora complexions but ( gasp) like tanned complexions! Yes, there is some tanning prevention but not 100% complete with any sunscreen/ sunblock.

Re: best sun block

Because many don't want to block out the sun's rays completely.. They're ok with going browner but still want some protection..

Re: best sun block

You'll still tan with sunscreen. It's not 100% effective. There is a current terminology issue going on and govts are banning use of word sunblock because it is not accurate. My favourite neutrogena was rebranded from sunblock to sunscreen. I'm not confident in it anymore and I still burn a little but not much.

Re: best sun block

Any sunscreen you use will only work so much. It's the application that matters. Apply it thirty minutes before you go out into the sun. Re apply every 3-4 hours because you'll probably sweat it off. NO sunscreen gives you action for a full day. Also, consider spf more than the brand. Anything less than spf 30 is useless for prolonged sun exposure. I usually use spf 50 which is good for longer exposure, but again you'll have to re apply. Also, the more the spf, the thicker the formula, if that matters at all. This is usually the advise i give to my patients who come to buy sunscreen in the pharmacy. Really think about what kind of sun screen you want, the formula (there are different ones for oily or dry skin) and how long you want to use it for. Some come with foundation or some sort of skin coverage inside so you can avoid piling on make up over it etc. Do your research and buy one :)

Re: best sun block

The Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 60, is a sunblock for sensitive skin. This sunblock lotion provides superior broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. The Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunscreen Lotion, is sweat-proof and waterproof, and goes evenly on your skin, rub it evenly and it feels ultralight.

Re: best sun block

I have the neutrogena age shield sunscreen broad spectrum SPF 110. Is that sunscreen or sunblock? I wish they would make a sun block version.

Re: best sun block

the one with the high factor… or wear a hat and stay out of the sun

Re: best sun block

I found la roche posay to be very good. Don’t know if its available in Pakistan or not.

Re: best sun block

What do you mean the word sunblock is not accurate? Does one still tan with sunblock. I know that I still tanned with the Coppertone sunblock but I figured I just didn’t apply it 15 minutes ahead of time in the past.
