What do you mean the word sunblock is not accurate? Does one still tan with sunblock. I know that I still tanned with the Coppertone sunblock but I figured I just didn’t apply it 15 minutes ahead of time in the past.

Tanning is still not hundred percent blocked. The govt is taking away the name sunblock because people mistakenly believe no rays are passing through which is false.

Even on a downcast day or what looks minimal sun you can still end up with issues..

Not a hat but my Mum wears hijab and has pretty bad hyperpigmentation and sun damage around her eyes.. Living in the UK you wouldn’t think it’s possible but after seeing that I’m really careful now..

IMO physical sunscreen’s (ones with a high zinc oxide %) are better than chemical sunscreens. The few dermatologist and plastic surgeon friends we have all prefer physical over chemical. Physical sunscreen’s are effective as soon as you put it on. It’s the chemical ones that must be applied 20-30 minutes before.

The two I currently rotate through are Juice Beauty Stem Cellular and Pratima Neem Vetiver Body Sunscreen (I use the body one on face instead of the one they sell for face b/c it’s better deal price wise).
