sara, you're using these things on your EYE AREA? woman are you crazy? forget eyes, it's going to ruin your skin so bad.. compared to that, your eye area is maddd sensitive, don't do anything there! as for the so called 4 creams mixture, let me tell you what exactly it does- there was a dermatologist on the hum tv morning show and every other caller was asking him about this skin whitening formula that seems to have become popular in pakistan. the doctor (afzal lodhi, very very famous doctor in pak) was shocked, he said, do you know how many cases i have had in my clinic just for that? these creams have turned ppls' skin black, caused severe hyperpigmentation, burns, bumps, premature wrinkles and what not. he said that each of these creams contain such high amount of chemicals that when you put them all together, the result is absolute nightmare. and then he told about how many girls are undergoing treatment since months just because of using such things. and even when the treatment is done, the skin does NOT go back to its original form- the damage stays but it's not so visible as before. i know that being dark is a big pain the back for many girls but what would you rather have- dark complexion or an ugly, burnt out, wrinkled face?
shay...this obsession is everywhere...wherever you turn...people just ooo aahh over the color of the skin...and they go to unumph lengths to to whiten up....sucks...we all need to proud of what we have...and utilize our minds somewhere else.. honestly...this complex of 'desis' has crippled us...i am speaking from experience...and i feel really sad about it... :(
These creas r dangerous, but ppl dont listen and continue to use them including myself:(
I’m using them to get back to my natural colour, i have very uneven skin tone. Ive tried all kinds of homemdae stuff, its just didnt do the trick:smack:
Don't try and "lighten" u're skin..it just won't happen..be it homemade or chemical..u'll be left with irreversible chemical burns..that stay for life. Enjoy being sanwali..and try and play with colors that work for you. I love being sanwali..please drop the "gora" complex..even guys these days like the dusky complexion!
idiots. archi creme was reported to have contain steroids. with it comes increased risks of miscarriages. I know of atleast two cases where women who use archi creme on a daily basis are unable to concieve!! I am not too upfront with them so I did tell my mom to convey them this information but I dont know what became of it.
if you wish to lighten some parts of the face that are pigmented then its best to visit a dermatologist. at the same time YOU are responsible for looking online for any research studies that have been done on the chemicals in your creams and lotions. I went to my dermatologist because my arms started getting dark patches of pigmentation and they were darker than my face (thanks to me always using sunscreen on the face but not my arms). My dermatologist was really honest with me ...he said I can prescribe you a $100 hydroquinone cream and it may make it better ...or it may make it even worse! he told me to avoid irritating the skin further by taking shorter showers, moisturizing regularly and using sunscreen and I've seen a huge improvement without resorting to any hydroquinone.
ok first of all...shweetz!!! miss u girl! where have uve been hiding!!
second...my mom uses a line by Vichy...called BiWhite....its supposed to lighten your complexion....well i used in when i went to pak with her...and it honestly did work! mind you, for some reason everytime i go to pak, my skin get 10x better...could be the water there in our village...but anyways, i used the cleanser and the scrub....i havent used it when i came back...but my mom still does...and i can see the difference!
as for the undereye..i used clinique's all about eyes...the gel one....it does make the puffiness and dark circles go away....but only when u use it....i dont think it would make it disappear forever...i also hear that clairains (sp?) also has a good under eye cream...gotta try that too!
afshi :hey u!!!
…i know what you mean…everytime i visit pakistan the same happens to me but I attribute it to the karachi humidity which makes my skin really supple. also there is zero stress in pakistan…no work, no cooking/cleaning/waking up early etc. I think that really affects the skin too.
thats true...it is stress free in pak..the only stress i get is praying that my luggage isnt overweight and deciding how many shoes/bags/clothes do i really need! ha ha...
