Re: best place for a pakistani? UK or USA
appears so, I have not had any major issues at all, aside from dealing with some jackasses around oct 2001, the times that they have to run my name through, it takes them 5 minutes max.

Best place for a pakistani or anyone....
Is the place where you feel most happy.
Hopefully surrounded by friends that adore you.
Re: best place for a pakistani? UK or USA
I think you are taking it a little too far. Last year, I extensively travelled inside the US mainly between LA, Houston, Chicago and Lafayette. On neither of the domestic flights I was harassed for any reason, even though my picture ID was my Pakistani passport. Yes! I had to take off my shoes while clearing the security, but other Americans were doing it as well.
Arriving into US is a bit of a nightmare. When I arrived via Chicago, it was terrible and the immigration staff was impolite and inconsiderate. However, arriving via LA and Houston was OK. For sure it takes longer to get through the immigration as you have to do the NSEER registration but if you understand their point of view, it is justified.
I was once stopped near Combes county for over-speeding and I did not have my passport with me at that time (I forgot it in my hotel room!!). The sherif was a real nice guy but he had to hand me over to the Border Protection and Security police. Over there they confirmed my identity and released me. The Americans there were really nice but the Mexican-Americans were not.
If I would have to relate with either the Pakistan decent Americans or the Pakistan decent Brits, I would surely go for the former. The Brit Pakis have runined the name of Pakistan outside Pakistan. It was horrible to see some of these young boys drinking from glass bottles and then breaking them in the children playground, in an area mainly inhabited by Pakis.
As far as the question goes for me: The best place for a Pakistani is Pakistan!! Make it better.
