There are various ways people make their omeletes. I like mine all mashed up, with diced tomatoes, chilly pepper, sliced olives, light melted cheese and fresh english cucumbers sliced on the side.
What recipe do u use or what kind of omelete do u prefer?
I am really disappointed by posters in this thread. Furqan can be excused for being a novice in the culinary art but ahmadjee and lazy_daisy? Oh I am disgusted. You two don't even know the difference between omelete and scrambled eggs??? You desis always scramble your terminology. For Pete's sake, retract your posts right away before I scramble you both with ****take mushrooms!
Furqi, I like my omeletes folded with green peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and diced chicken.
Tip, don't add salt to eggs mixture. It will prevent the omelete from becoming rubbery.
Ms. Lazy, my mother always has made me eggs with oil and so does my wife. I just like the salty margarine taste.
funguy, with all culinary respect, I like mine folded too but to scramble it so it becomes a salan like mixture to be eaten with achar and paratha is also very common in my family.
Funguy..Dont you talk in that tone with me Boyo:mad:
I merely mentioned… that if you add exra egg yolks the end product will be richer…
Pray prithee…tell me how that translates to scrambled eggs:p
whisk up the eggs (with added yolk)
pour in pan, move the middle part around with a spatula untill its set and then
just to spite the mushroom man…take some fried sliced mushroomswith garlic and add over teh top and fold
or add Strawberry Jam
or smoked salmon and chives
or chocolates sauce
or last nights curry
you can make a Spanish Tortilla…which is eggs pured over sliced cooked potatoes, onions and peppers…leave to set on a low heat and serve sliced into wedges with salad
I add tomatoes, onions, corriander, cheese, mushrooms, green/red peppers, some chilli, a little bit of water or milk, salt, pepper, a pinch of dania powder and garam masala.
