Best Militaries in the Islamic World

Re: Best Militaries in the Islamic World

off topic :flower1:

The thing that really gives me nightmares is that in case of a (God Forbid) war, Pakistan has too much of SOFT TARGETS :hayaa:
For example The only nuclear power plant, the largest steel mill are sitting ducks, waiting to be pounded by a missille fired from a few thousand kilometers.

Re: Best Militaries in the Islamic World

Guys...better be creative...blockforming like NATO etc. is not enough...stop immitations...its too obvious...

Let the small groups do their job...I am extremely convinced that they will exhaust the West and all others against us...

PS: Like Hezb has proved to be more powerful than Egyptian+Jordanian+Syrian+Palestianin armed foreces combined... :)

Re: Best Militaries in the Islamic World

how are those fighters junk?

they are a lot better condition that some of our fighters

why are u responding to this thread anyways?

the only thing u have contributed is shown everyone that once you run out of points you resort to childish behaviour such as attaching nazi with my nickname, etc...

Re: Best Militaries in the Islamic World

PAF already has aircrafts for this role.

You don’t seem to be taking into consideration the cost of all this. The Saudis can give this to us for free, I still wouldn’t take it. Do you have any idea how much it costs to set up infrastructure for aircrafts? Not to mention, this is a double-engined a/c. For every platform, you need a seperate infrastructure, seperate training programs, and seperate facilities.
Pakistan insists on buying F-16’s (even though the delivery seems unreliable to some) because its infrastructure already exists in Pakistan. PAF opts for the J-10 because it can be easily integerated with the F-16 infrastructure. PAF opts for Jf-17 because it will replace the A-5 (which is a twin-engined a/c, and expensive to maintain).
Saudi’s can give the Tornado’s for free, but who will cover the cost of training + infrastructure + maintainenance for the next 10-15 years, for a brand new platform which PAF has never operated before? :naraz:

It is a waste of money.

Just take a look at India >>> they currently have a dozen (if not more) or so platforms. The maintainance cost is massive. And that is exactly why we hear news every 1-3 month of an Indian Mig or an Indian Jaguar crashing <<< All due to poor maintainance. In the very first week of this year (2006), they had 3 aircraft accidents. That is how poor the maintainance becomes due to lack of funds, not to mention, the InAF budget is much higher than PAF’s.
It would be better if PAF doesn’t make the same mistake.

Re: Best Militaries in the Islamic World

That is not something to be happy about. That is SAD!

I think you have forgotten what happened to Beirut when Hezbollah proved to be more powerful than the Lebanese military. Beirut was bombed back a decade, and I think it was close to a million Lebanese who were displaced (?), while hundreds of civilians died (?) You want the same thing to happen to Pakistan?

The military is the organization responsible for preventing such things. Hezbollah is not the Lebanese military. Hezbollah couldn't prevent the bombing of Beirut; this is the job of the military.

When you have a corrupt government & a puppet ruler, your military becomes useless in the hands of that ruler (as is the scene with most Arab militaries which are armed-to-the-teeth). That is when a motivated group (i.e. Hezbollah) gains an oppurtunity to prove themselves to be better than the military.

This is not the case with Pakistan & other successful militaries such as those of Iran, Turkey, Indonesia (since that is what many people here are intending). Our ruler (mushy) is not a puppet, that will order the Pakistan military to sit inactive while our enemy pounds us. We have a military, capable of performing tasks better than smaller organizations, and we have a motivated ruler, to rule them.
This is a blessing from Allah. So, why do people here want to disregard this blessing and look for a more deadly solution?

These Muslim nations have capable & motivated militaries, and here we have people wanting these militaries to follow the corrupt Arabs into their own defeat.
Sad, indeed.
