Best Make-up Brand

YES EXACTLY!!!! (photography appropriate makeup may not = appropriate bridal makeup in the eyes of every single bride)

i think thats the point that matinee is missing, you may be a highly trained professional, knowing a lot about photography/film appropriate makeup...and may not use certain brands on brides (thats your professional decision and thats fine)...

but it really depends on the bride, if she likes your work and the brands you use in the trial she will come back to you...if not, then she can choose MAC artist or whomever, its her choice...

on a different note, am just remembering something i read about MAC history, didn't MAC makeup originate becuase the two canadian founders/creaters of the makeup brand, wanted more intense vibrant makeup more suitable for photography? years ago they were dissatisfied with the makeup they were using in their careers (as photographers/stylists i think), and went on to create their own brand of makeup (eyeshadows etc) with better colour pay offs and more intensity, so it showed up better in photographs... so as far as i know MAC also originated for the purpose of photography/ film... but i am not saying MAC is the best brand for photography makeup, since then there may have been 100 other companies coming up with 100 times better products for the photography/fashion/film industry... but MAc also has that (suitable for photographs factor) in its roots.
the founders then sold the company to estee lauder, which ofcourse marketted it more to the general public as counter cosmetics... and this new parent company may be developing or may have already developed more MAC lines, more MAC products for this general use purpose only (and not the photography purpose, originally the focus of the actual founders)...

i think mac makeup specially eye shadows, are still much better than other brands designed for the average consumer, and still look pretty good in photographs for the average user for regular life events (parties , weddings, bridals)... For a fashion industry photoshoot that costs hundereds and millions of dollars to shoot with international supermodels, ofcourse, they may not use MAC...but i think theres a difference between a fashion industry photoshoot of that cost and impact, and a simple birthday party or wedding, or engagement of a regular desi/pakistani girl... she may look and feel perfectly fine in MAC for her purposes
