Horror movies generally dont scare me…there are loads of film which make me jump…like The Ring and especially Final Destination keep me jumping like a trampoline but as a general point films dont scare me…The Omen though is the only film that has scared me…the scene where the babysitter threw the mother out of the Window had me shook up…the look in that womans eyes was scary…Being scared is generally i nice feeling…and lol i want safe ways of getting scared so can anyone recommend films that have scared them…not jumpy films but genuine scary films…

Final Destination was more a mystery than horror. Horror movie looks funny after 2-3 years to a regular viewer.

Evil dead and Ring 1 are good scary movies but don't watch it again and again. It won't be scary second time. Ring is nothing compare to Evil dead (again when you watch it first time). I didn't find Silence of the Lambs and its series scary AT ALL. I've seen them many times and just never found anything scary =s good movies but not scary. yup Final Destination wasn't a horror movie at all. mystery is a good word for it. didn't find Sixth Sense scary either. There are only one or two scences that scared me but only for couple of seconds.
news movies hummm Dark Water and The exorcism of Emily Rose are new movies. I've seen the trailers and they look pretty good. I would suggest go watch The exorcism of Emily Rose. You will enjoy it. It will be in theater on Sept, 9. If you want to see the trailer let me know, i'll post the link. Dark water was released on july 8.

I thought Ring was boring, just the concept of getting a call and dying in 7 days by a girl coming out of a TV didn’t make sense to me
I like most of the zombie movies like Evil Dead, just the people changing and acting all crazy during the weekends ( ) is an amazing concept. Very scary…
Ghazal why didn’t you like Slience of the Lambs series? Did you see ‘Hannible’ and the end scene, I mean wow…

I've seen many horror movies but there are 2 that beat the rest, no blood no gore, just subtlety and atmosphere. Haunted and Turn of the Screw. They leave you chilled to the bone.

About the zombie movies have you seen Shawn of the dead? It’s hilarious. Resident Evil (the first part, came in 2002) is a good one if you like zimbie movies.
Yes I have seen all the parts. “Hannibal” and yes the end scene too. Again not scary… may be for ten or twenty min but not more than that. The whole series got great story, acting, suspense, thrill but there wasn’t a single scene or the story itself that scared me. We are talking about horror movies here and for me the whole series doesn’t count as horror movies at all. Other than that the movies are okay.

Have you seen ‘Jeepers Creepers’? The first movie is great…in the end they kind of blew it but it is worth a watch :k:
I think you are more into creatures and their scary aspect and I am more into the concept of a horror movie. I liked Hannibal because the character seduces people, he also is a person who eats human flesh. You could see in the second movie the way he kills people. In one scene where he cuts the balls

oh yeah how can i forget Jeepers Creepers. I really liked or should I say I loved the first part. That movie really scared me. The kinda truck he was driving was scary enough. The ending was sad. The second part made me laugh. The begining was good in second too but after 20 minutes it became crap. His tongue action was stupid which ruined the movie for me =\ oh yeah the first part is worth a watch but not the second one.
I’m more into those movies which leave you scared for couple of days or week(s) like Evil Dead and Jeepers Creepers, both part 1. Hannibal was digusting halo
just a side note I just saw Grudge. I only liked the last scene when the girl (the ghost or curse) was coming downstairs. That bit was scary. other than that the movie

I’m expecting a lot from The exorcism of Emily Rose. It is based on a true story. Are you going to see it?

The Ring's japanese version had a scene (which was copied in enlgish version) when the girl comes out of the well and tv. This scene was dubbed as the scariest scene ever shot. Its english coutnerpart was good too.
