Then why even go out to eat then? shouldn’t that person’s word be enough? it’s their sin if they lie…not yours.

unfortunatly their word isnt enough and i feel no embarrassement in asking for certifcations and authentic proof of their meat being halal.
it is said that if someone verbally says its halal, and they lied, then they cannot be blaimed, rather its your fault for not fully inquiring, asking about halal certificaition and what not.
we try so hard to eat zabihah and then if someone lets us down, its pretty painful.
