It’d be a real blow if something mentioned in zabihah as halal would eventually turn as otherwise. I follow zabihah as the standard before going anywhere.
Regarding the question of wut else can we do, some of my friends ask for ther certificate or even ask them the source of their meat supplier, then call them and ask whether their slaughter is zabihah or no.
I know it gets a lil embarrassing to go into that detail after visiting any resturant but for the sake of our surity, there is no harm in going that far.
