I’m guessing Battery life and memory size is important as is quality of picture.
I want to buy one to attache to TV to play video/shows but also i can use for my daughter while traveling.

there are portable power inverter available which can convert car dc power to ac power and then laptop or other devices can be charged without much problem during travel. So short battery life ins not a problem any more while traveling.

If you have an up to date/ish phone..and a viewable screen..just download the divx software from their website.
Its undoubtedly one of the best pieces of free software you will find.
