i don’t know why you are talking about indians. i’m not an indian consultant seeking to advise pakistani voters. i am posting an opinion on a public message board. why are you are getting so defensive?

99% of all human beings on earth do not know who salman rushdie is, much less know what exactly he wrote in satanic verses.

we can agree to revise the number down to 90% if we are also revising the definition of “know who salman rushdie is” to vaguely hearing his name at some point in their lifetime. i’m surprised you do not see the absurdity of a statement like “salman rushdie caused immense pain to more than a billion people”. it is farcical.

Is it really idiotic of Imran saying that he doesn’t want to attend a gathering where someone he doesn’t like is also present? He did not abuse Rushdie and he did not take a dig at his looks. If he wanted to stay away from that event, it is his right.
