I recently bought a Fuji as well......Fuji Finepix A303.
Its a very small camera, slightly larger than a credit card in dimensions, and very lightweight. That seems attractive to look at, but very tough to handle, because of its delicacy.
The cam has a 3.2mp resolution, with a 3x optical, and 3.2x digital zoom. It is one of the first cams to use the Fuji XD picture card. The best thing about this card is that it is designed to have an ultimate capacity of up to 8GB. Right now I believe the largest chip available is for 128 mb.
The cam has an LCD display, which consumes battery real fast. Rechargeable batteries, and the ability to use a 3V DC adapter provide some relief in that department.
Picture transfer is a snap. In windows XP, the accompanying software is not needed, so thats a plus.
The cam allows a movie mode as well, without the sound though. Plus, it does not have a provision for a television hookup either, which should have been a simple task, keeping in mind the LCD they have on the cam itself.
It has an autofocus lens. The results are brilliant by my personal standards....not professional by any means, but great for home and personal use.
Low light pictures have not come out well for me so far, but that is more because of my ineptness at using it. With the proper settings and controls, night pictures should have good results too.
The retail price is set at $350 I believe, but its commonly available around the world now for under $300. I got it for, lets say, around $220.
For home and personal use, its a pretty decent camera.
