- and He said 'you look even more beautiful in your hijab' :D This was when i first started wearing it and was so self-conscious :)
I normally can't take compliments! I feel awkward when i get them!

i've gotten that three times now from three different people and the first thought that came to mind is one of doubt or one of what do these people want from me that they are giving me this sweet compliment. but i'll just see it as a sweet gesture and won't mistrust them to such an extent, gosh what's the use of being overly cautious
i'm going to enjoy a compliment when it's given to me, I have a right to just like anybody else.

I assigned my students to write about the best compliment they’ve ever received as a journal entry. And years ago, this one student wrote that the best compliment he ever got was “Thank you for flying on Delta Airlines.” How sad…
It’s been a while…I think I might assign that topic again.

People often think I'm 17-18, I'm 23, I guess that'll be handy in the future...
Worst thing I've heard anyone say as a compliment is a lad say to my sister (who is a social butterfly; whereas I'm socially crippled) My ideal girl would be one with your personality and with your sisters looks. OFFENDED. Funny thing was, my sister was pissed off at her compliment too.

my patient to my clinical instructor: "If you don't give this student of yours full marks, I am going to be very angry with you", my clinical instructur: "why do you say that?" patient: "because she genuinely respects older people and know how to talk to them without making them feel like a little child" :) (it brought me to tears as my mother always taught me to respect the elderly)
