*ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s former premier Benazir Bhutto Tuesday said that her party would boycott the session of National Assembly and asked President Pervez Musharraf to fulfil all his promises.
Addressing a news conference here, she said the public gathering under the aegis of PPP scheduled on November 9 at Liaquat Bagh has been changed into the protest against the emergency.
She demanded that the announcement of schedule for the elections should be made before November 15 and all curbs on media should be lifted.
Speaking on the occasion, she urged President Musharraf to keep all his pledges, which he made with the nation, PPP and the judiciary and hold elections on time.
She said that People’s Party would not participate in the next session of National Assembly. Furthermore, she said the very integrity of Pakistan is in jeopardy; more than 50 workers of PPP are behind bars; on this situation, PPP will observe tomorrow as the protest day.
Benazir said the election commission is not willing to provide the voters list.
Commenting on October 18 attack, she said this was not an attack on me; it was an attack on the democracy; and before this, Sunni Tehreek and Maulana Fazlur Rehman were attacked.
According to Geo News report, during the course of the news conference, she received a telephone call. She left press conference incomplete and went inside to talk on phone. *
Could it be that the call from GHQ had asked her to do what she is now threatning, making it easy for them to get rid of a mad dictator.

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has issued what correspondents say is an ultimatum to President Pervez Musharraf to end emergency rule.
I dont think she is the righteous leader but in your opening post you were speculating and than a few others were only keen to point out where the call came from. If that has happened than one possibility could be that she is following their instructions.
She's either lost all hopes of getting a share of the pie from dictator in the next setup or this call of rise is still part of the topi drama that these two cursed ones are playing hands in gloves to the awam.

probably the issues for dual office for musharraf and term limit for Benazir.
so both sides are posturing, and reviewiing their playbook based on word on the street and international factors. there are some conflicts but much of it semms to be orchestrated.

i mean right now, why would militants be willign to take her out if she is such a strong adversary of their enemy #1- i,e, musharraf unless they too feel that she is striking a deal.
wait, mayeb they are concerned that if she comes into power whether in a powr sharing deal or some sort of musharraf removal that she would stick to her word and let US forces blast the tribal areas into the 1800s. no wait that would mean advancement for them, I meant in the 16th century

Does that mean you dont consider MQM supporters and/or members as militants? Don't you see a possible link between the bombings in KHI and the threats now at her?
I'm sure (and there you are right) this news will surely strengthen her image and support, but on the other hand could mean that she is really in danger and therefore needs to hold herself back in speeches and rallies.

She and her peepliye were only leaders who were yards away from President House protesting yesterday. I wonder how she was able to get that close to the President House demanding democracy and end to emergency rule.
