Wait, wait....
Does that mean you dont consider MQM supporters and/or members as militants? Don't you see a possible link between the bombings in KHI and the threats now at her?
I'm sure (and there you are right) this news will surely strengthen her image and support, but on the other hand could mean that she is really in danger and therefore needs to hold herself back in speeches and rallies.
It would not make sense, she is forging a partnership with MQM here, they dont have much to gain by getting rid of her. is it possible? sure, is it likely.. i dont think so. They made no attemptsto block her arrival in the city or her parade.
the most likely perps are religious militants and not MQM mafia, because they stand to lose the most from her coming in power.plus they know she is being backed by their enemy numero uno.

Some sources say, MQM had threatened with bombings on the day of her arrival. I don't see this as impossible. Actually a very rational count. Since MQM has had never sympathies for PPP. But baseless accusations wouldn't lead to anything. Has there been any updates as for who those bombers where?! (offtopic)
actually MQM and PPP have partnered in past, and not only that MQM has even partnered with Jiye Sindh folks. again while this is a possibility, its minor because if MQM is part of current regime and she is being sent to be partner of current regime then they probably dont really want to do much to her, although it could be a signal saying..you we are working with you but we control teh city and not you type of deal. In Pakistani politics u never know. some sources say her husband orchestrated it, which sounds ridiculous but hey..all kinds of theories out there. Her suspicions were on chief minister of punjab and some other ppl i believe.
I have not heard any updates on the bombers identities or afiliations.
My my Aalsi, you seem to know more than you let on.
You’re good at deflating the dreams of the idealists and party jiyalas, who just cannot see past the hatred of Musharraf to the much, much wider game at play.
we were being told about much wider games at play all the time in these forums and how something was about to happen in certain months. All ended in tears, the only game in town is beating up innocent people while the country burns.

Well Zardari is definately one option as well. Hmmm, let us wait and see. I still believe in MQM bashing after BB is PM and Mushy is gone! Which sounds very unrealistic, but lets watch and see :D

The overall scheme has remained the same. Previously a more patient route was taken by President Musharaf and those involved in the wider scheme. However, now more muscular approach has been adopted. ironically, the scheme now has a better chance of fruition than under the previous approach.
That is why BB, Fazl-ur-Rehman are safely encamped in Islamabad at the moment, meeting the high officials of the govt. whilst everyone else is being arrested or on the run. :)

any specifgic ones you are thinking about? wider games of changing pakistan political structure are showing to be true with direct foriegn involvement as was gauged by a number of people ever since this tide of events started within the last year. Or do we think that the positioning of benazir just happened by chance and that there was not a plan in place .

This must be troubling you now for a while. Have you planned retaliatory actions?
I don't see BB and Prez. Mush singing from the same hymn sheet. Me thinks BB has backing from the West and Prez is being instructed to ensure her protection, at his dismay.
Bombs? Well they can be firework displays ... no one 'important' was hurt ... just the fall guys.
guys stay tuned....just heard on GEO today that 'Hasaas Idaraz' have once again informed the authorities that BB might have another bomb blast at hand. It's said that upto 8 suicide bombers have been sent, they might target masses that are due to show up ont he 'long march' next week, and security all over the country has been heightened, they're said to have been unleased from AL Qader, ofcourse!
God! i hope it's not true...there's already been enuff loss of innocent lives :(

Yaar why is it so difficult for some of you die-hard Mush supporters to understand that democracy is the way forward if we really want to progress as a nation. We have to put a stop to this non-sense of military rule once and for all. We need to let democracy flourish in our country and strengthen our institutions and we need to have a strong impartial judiciary to keep a check on the executive branch. Mush may have done some good things but that still does not remove the fact that he's a military dictator. The army should have no business meddling in politics and the affairs of government. As per our founder Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the military should behave like servants in uniform and not like opportunist jokers who are ready to step in at the slightest opportunity. Yes our politicians have n't exactly been exemplary but that's still no good excuse for the frequent military coups that we have seen since 1958.
larr to saktee nahin humaaree fauj bus show sha and drama......and you probably should know that we have lost all of our wars with India to date 1948, 1965, 1971 and 2008 (Kargil).

Yup - note how BB has sacrificied Aitzaz Ahsan at the altar of her power politics. Not a word about him from her.
